why does this stuff have to happen to my poor little girl. & now I guess we are taking my Mom...IF 'she' will go.

I think going down there means an overnight trip? Are you staying with Valarie? Does she have room for all of her relatives? While, when she comes up to your area for an event, she can stay with you? It really makes sense that they may not look forward to such a trip and a possible hotel/motel visit at the end of it. It is like that when family moves away. The ones that move the distance away get fewest visits. It is a sad but true fact.
Valarie will enjoy having you thereat least, Carol.

yes it means an overnight trip. BUT Valarie said she could find places for people, if they would just let her know.....they all said they do not want to spend the night, & they they did not mind driving back (a 3 hr. drive).

Mind you it is about a 2 hr drive up to the other nieces house (my BIL's side)..that trip is ok it seems...

Tina you are right, they can stay here..but this is the second time that this has happened. IF they do not want to make the trip then they should just say so up front. My SIL will not ever come back to their parties, I can just feel it, but at least my daughter would not be disappointed the last minute. And it is her I am most concerned with.

Yes, her feelings could be hurt. I hope they aren't though. I hope it all works out with her and her husband.
Is Henry walking?

Don't let it get you down Juniegirl. Some people like being difficult.

Is Matthew Perry's hair really almost totally gray or has he colored it for TV?

I have no idea about Matthew Perry's hair. why

At least they all of them spoke to Valarie. And my daughter is gracious if nothing else, so she told them all she understood. (her feelings are still hurt, I am sure.)
My niece could change her mind into going & spending the night there in a motel, but her Mom just does not want to. I just got off the phone with my sister & that is what she is saying. At least she was honest with me.

I do so hope that they do all go down there in a few weeks (that is what she suggested they might do)

I am going to bed soon.
So g'nite to everyone!!

Glad that you got your power back, Tina. I lost the internet, but I got it back after a short time, thankfully.

Obviously, I have not gone to bed...yet...but soon.

Good morning all.

When it comes to family events and gatherings I have learned that nothing ever goes as it should. I used to attend everything and give to anything...I have since learned my lesson as others feel they need not do the same. thumbup

I do hope that Henry has a wonderful party...with lots of cake for him to taste grin

It is raining out today...I think I will spend the day cleaning and attending to laundry.

Good morning. I will take some of the rain off your hands, Sunny.
It is going to be a lovely day here. I will get my weekend shopping out of the way when I take Ted to school. And get started on the laundry. That sounds like a good way to spend the day.

Good Morning from wet melting snow Colorado,

We had about 5 inches of very wet snow yesterday and today it is raining and melting it all away... still cold though... glad we shopped before it got to wet out there.. typical spring storm for here .

We have been cleaning out stuff and getting rid of it.. took a load to the donation site yesterday... even took a bag for Carrie, now that she is feeling better she went thru boys clothes... they outgrow stuff so fast... her work decided they had to wear dressier shirts too so she went to thrift shops and found 8 shirts for herself and new shirts for boys too... she can always find shirts... jeans must always be worn out before they get donated... at least boys are diff sizes so they can hand them down if they don't wear to many holes in them.. and it's almost shorts season too so that will help too.

I found a good deal on a new foodsaver for myself , gave my old one to Carrie.. been cooking ahead again and using it to fill my freezer... took out turkey I got for "free" last Nov and going to cook it Sun and after we eat one meal from it use the rest for enchiladas.. chili.. will roast bones and then crock pot them with celery and onions and make a big batch of broth too... will freeze that in mason jars... may even make up some spaghetti sauce and freeze that for quick meals this summer...

Well off to get my shower and get the laundry started... and fill another box for donation stuff.. decided I really don't need all these toys and books the boys have outgrown, someone can use them... will keep some for new greatgrandson.. but will send them to dd's house to keep for him....

Have a good day all!

Nana

Your cooking plans sound wonderful, Nana. Some good options.
I did some outdoor work today. Laundry will be later. It is just too nice to stay inside yet. In a bit I'll go to the bank and then pick up my son from school.

I is definitely to nice to be outside here as well. However, inside is just where I stayed. I thought I dare not mess up my back-side & thigh right before I went to Valarie's.

Next week, about Wednesday, I will start on the outside here. And boy there is lots to do!!

Yeah, I barely put a dent in my work outdoors today. But it felt good.
I am going to go to bed as early as I can get Teddy into bed tonight.
Sweet dreams.

Good morning..Happy Birthday to Henry!

Tina my rain was short lived but my snow is melting considerably...wish I could send you some precipitation.

Nana, ever so busy as always...I never think of crock potting the bones for stock, great idea.

I do hope you have a great weekend Junie.

Grandgirl and I have a birthday party to attend to as well, my nephew's daughter turned 5 yesterday...GG is excited to go.

Well, I have no birthday parties to go to today. I've been busy doing house work and laundry today. More laundry than housework. But I'm OK with that. Time to think about dinner.

We went to a birthday party today too. For a 90 year young lady. She's cute as can be and active as anyone. She's a flirt and loves Johnny.

More rain is on the way for us. I can't get outside to do a thing for more than a few minutes at a time.

How nice, Sheri. I bet it is fun for you to have friends loving Johnny like that. At least I would think it was a lot of fun.
