I replanted runners last year so I should get a bumper crop of strawberries this year. They do quite well here.
I'll try post a pic if I can Sheri.
Yesterday I hand tilled my whole garden...I really need to buy a tiller. My arms are aching today.

Not really sure what the problem is with their service; could you explain what the problem is? The forum software, for security, requires that all external images end in an image extension (jpg, gif, png, etc), so if the issue is that you can't just post a link from yahoo then that could be it. I know the other week you tried to post an image from mail.yahoo.com which looked like it would have been an image that was from an email; that host is a closed source, so if you're not logged into the account that has permission to view the message then no one can see it.

I finished cleaning out the two raised bed and found volunteer tomato plants and one of them already has blooms. Way cool.
Also found a bunch of ants in one of the beds. How can I get rid of them?

Neither salt or vinegar is very good for plants. Diatomaceous earth is not harmful to plants but very harmful to ants. Boric acid is also not too bad.

I happen to put acid into my acid loving plants.. Recipe is a tablespoon of vinegar to a gallon of water.Cheaper than commercial mixes an same results. So vinegar ISN"T harmful.
I disagree with Tina

I think Tina meant that vinegar is harmful to regular plants....not acid loving ones.
Today I will tackle my much needed siding washing.

Vinegar is an excellent, safe solution for dealing with weeds in the yard and garden. It's not harmful to children or pets, and it's inexpensive enough to always have around. In addition to weed killing, vinegar can be a gardener's best friend because it helps kill slugs, can get rid of ants, neutralizes garden lime, cleans garden pots, and much more. Vinegar is excellent for acid-loving plants like gardenias, azaleas and hydrangeas but it also kills weeds when used at full strength so you need to be careful how you use it on plants you want to keep alive. I have long advocated for vinegar used as a weed and pest deterrent. I was warning Sheri that vinegar (and salt) is not the right answer to ants in her raised planters. For ants and other creepy things, I use diatomaceous earth. Food grade diatomaceous earth (DE) is actually good for other critters. It won't harm your plants at all, either. It can be found at feed stores because it is used a lot for chickens. I use it all round my house to keep out bugs of all kinds. And in my gardens for bug, slug and snail control. No worries if the wild birds or pets get into it.

Yesterday I got the siding washed, my flower beds mulched and my veggie garden got a few bags of super soil added to help lighten the soil. I'll open another topic....
