She said she has been raising it in the apartment.
It's a house plant.
OK . . . I'll live with that, but it doesn't really turn my crank.
Is it ok to put it outside? I have a barrel planter I used last year and I'm thinking of putting it in there as the centrepiece this year. Maybe put some geraniums around it.
It does get a lot of sun in the mornings there. Would that be too much sun?
If you keep it indoors be sure to mist it-they need humidity. Or maybe a saucer of water and stones under it (if you don't have a pet that would drink the water and the plant foods in the water).
I put it out in the lobby. We can't keep much in the way of plants in here - Skitter gets into everything. She doesn't like sharing windowsill space, for one thing.
Hey Carly, I have two norfolk pines outdoors, but I'm in zone 9. They are at least 8 ft tall and have been outside for some 4 or so years. Both were under a covered patio. I moved one a year or so ago to another area and it is not doing as well as the one on the covered patio. I'll get some pics out soon.
