That is exactly what I wanted to know. How you were and what you are able to do. I am happy to hear that you are not helpless. I am sorry to hear that you are basically trapped in your house. And on one level? I hope you continue to recover and hope you can get outside soon. That will be a big step in your mental health.
I really did very little after my whirlwind morning. Tomorrow will be much more relaxed. There was just so much to catch up on after the last few days off. I'm glad I got it done today so I can cruise through the rest of the week.

So far it is nice here too. A PT lady is coming here today. I was hoping to hear from a nurse yet so he/she could change my bandages, but we shall see.

Tina: I just have like 2-1/2 steps out of/into my house. BUT I am just not that sure on my feet yet to try it on my own. Plus the DR wants me to be using a walker yet to keep pressure off of both legs. I ma hoping to be more sure footed when the staples are going.

I really am looking forward to going out and at very least weeding my big flower garden. The PT lady said she would be coming for 9 more visits, so I will be asking about the 'how to do that safely"

My Valarie & henry are coming tonight.

I am off to get cleaned up for the day. My PT lady & my male nurse will be coming around lunch--() So it is now or never to get washed up.

Ahh, Time to relaxx before leaving to pick my dude up.

Twice a week for 10 visits..or until they think I am good enough without it. Nurse comes for 4 times...

It beats your having to jockey around finding rides and such to doctor visits. Or being in the hospital. I think it is a very nice alternative. I am glad Valerie and Henry are coming to see you.

Thanks, Tina & Barb. Yes it is pretty nice. I had just about had it with the Rehab/nursing home place.

See, I never knew that you had transitioned to a rehab place. You talked about it but I didn't know it happened.
I'm trying to decide what may be for dinner.

I am so sorry. You have to excuse a drugged hurting person.

I had my leg operated on may 10th about 7 pm. Then the next Friday night they transferred me to the "Skilled care center"

Bottom floor was a fancy dining room complete with a fireplace, a rehab center, a beauty shop, several meeting rooms, & a gated garden. The second floor was 4 halls of people like me who were there for recovery after accidents or surgeries. there was also a very nice diningroom on this floor.

I was told the 3rd floor was "extended care" people. (read nursing home)
I will say it sure felt like a nursing home save for the therapy department. IMO they were top notch.

PS: Valarie, Henry & I are going to the Drs. in the morning.
I will come back without staples..YAY !!

Yay, no staples. I am glad. And happy that Valerie is going to be there with you.

poor Henry. He wakes in the night just screaming/ If I had of been well, I would have gone in there. He is now asleep again, which is good.

I wonder about dreaming/ His Aunt had that problem when she was 3.

Rod's coffee has begun to brew. I guess I will have some with him when he gets up.

Hi all, I was gone all day yesterday. It was a nice treat...we took GG to the zoo.

Ha ha son too my ggs to the zoo in west Virginia yesterday..
Must be zoo day everywhere

How wonderful, the zoo. I have to make plans with Teddy for that soon.
I stopped at the grocery store before school and bought some juices to share with his class. Then again after I dropped him and the juices off. I bought plenty of fruit and stuff for the weekend's need. I'm snacking on some cherries and grapes while I'm typing.
I've got to take off in a few minutes and go to the bank before I pick him up again.

YAY for Zoo day !!! I am sure everyone had a grand time.

We just got back from my Dr. His nurse took out my staples and that sure does feel better.

He wanted to do the surgery in my right leg on Monday...but we told him no. So, Tuesday it is !! he says this will be much easier this time around, as there will be no trauma involved.

Does this further surgery mean more hospital/nursing home time, Carol?

Tina: yes it does. how long I stay in the actual hospital will depend on how well I do in surgery. Then I will (the Dr. assumes) go back to rehab for however long I need.

At least I will get to pack my own clothes for Rehab this time.

And hopefully it will be a shorter time.
Someone needs to open a new lounge.
