Rod just left. He will go to Emily's and they will all cook out.

That will be nice for them to spend some time together. Valarie & her family will be home next weekend. Rod will see them then.

You should be home by then and be able to participate in the fun. That sounds like fun!

That sounds like a plan, Carol.
I didn't nap today so I would be able to sleep tonight. I am having a hard time staying awake now. Sweet dreams everyone.

Good !morning, Tina.

It is a beautiful sun shiney day here. I hear it is supposed to get up to 95 or so. shock But as I will be staying indoors, I guess I will not let it concern me.

I will take 95 over ice & snow any day. grin

I would too. Unless there was a fire. Then I would go with whatever moisture Mother Nature wanted to share.

Good afternoon...I spent the day doing chores and errands. I am broke but the cupboards are full so it's a not so bad thing.

It is so damp...I made bread this morning and I had to warm the oven to get it to rise. I am thinking of lighting the wood stove...Mother Nature is so mixed up.

That is pretty cold, Sunny. I hope it warms up for you soon. Just not too warm.
It was a busy morning again. And then I came home and crashed into a nap this afternoon.
I put chicken into the crockpot this morning. Part for chicken salad and some for pulled chicken later. I like cooking for more than one meal at once.

Good morning,
Sorry for the cold weather Sunny. That sounds like IL. We can have warm clothes & coats on one day and shorts and the AC on the next. It is a wonder that we all do not have pneumonia here sometimes.

I need to mop floors. Another day.
I took Teddy to school and stopped to shop for what I forgot yesterday. Got that home and cleaned up my kitchen before collecting the mail and going to pick him up again. Two hours of travel for three hours of school doesn't leave much time in the middle. But the school is good for him.
The mail had his sweatshirts I ordered from Hanes. He is officially set for school next year. I love the deal I got on the sweats too. Each one cost me $2.24 and free shipping. I love a Good deal.

A day with no rain, that is a good thing. Wish I could weed some...perhaps sometime soon ... prayers cry

Tina, bargains are good, glad you found some. And I wish Sunny & I could share our rain with you. Poor Rod says the grass is so tall at home that he can only see the ears of the bunnies that live on our back yard. ( see our back yard is so low, that when it rains it is like a swamp for several days. And it has rained for like 5 days out of 7 so far.)

Tina also glad that you habe a good/ nice school for Ted.

The sun is actually out today ! But we are to have tain again the next several days after today rolz

Well, there's a possibility of some tropical rains for us along about Mon-Tues. That is good for the area in general but it means high humidity for a few days. I am not fond of humidity when it's hot. It is a very rare occurrence for us in June. We usually get the tropical stuff in August.

Good morning...maybe my rain skipped me today to share with you all. lol

I got my veggie garden weeded this morning...it is growing slowly with this wet cool weather though.

I am trying to plan a small flower bed on the North East side of my house...it gets hardly any sun and gets pushed with snow in the Winter. I have been here almost 20 years and it is the one spot that stumps me. I am honestly thinking of a small split rail fence section(that I can remove in the Fall) and just planting annual impatiens in front of it....any ideas would be welcome.

I would kill for a place to plan shade loving plants. I do not suppose you could grow columbine in Canada ??
I will. Do some thinking for you.

I am so at a loss due to the unfamiliar climate, Sunny. Even when I lived in Rochester, NY. the climate wasn't so harsh. There I had peonies, lilacs, asparagus and strawberries in the backyard (north facing). I also put in a vegetable garden back there. I just put annuals in the front.

Sorry that should have said North West...I have lots of shade perennials to divide, my house faces North East. The thing I need is height...it is against a plain white siding wall. I must take a pic.

Columbines do grow here...in fact I planted a mixed package a few weeks ago in a flower bed.

The thing is whatever I plant now must be a perennial or annual because in Winter the snow gets shoved across it.

So you need something that dies back for winter and leaves you free to push snow around?

Yes Tina...the snow will get pushed right across it.

Yay Junie is home...now you can heal in comfort kissie Just remember to take it easy...don't push yourself too hard.

Not much planned for today...it is supposed to rain. I might do a few loads of laundry and heat up the house with the dryer. I cannot get over how damp this June is.

well then, good for you, Tina--the eating is the best part.

I had a nap & then my mom my cousin & my Valarie all called me. Now I am fixing spaghetti for supper. Rod bought "manager's special" ground beef rolz Thankfully I think it is ok...

His saving grace is he bought fresh pineapple for dessert.

Spaghetti is good. I am just not into hot foods much. I am eating a nectarine fresh from the tree. And I will follow that with a chicken salad sandwich in awhile. Maybe when/if it rains on Mon-Tues as promised, I will feel like a hot meal.

Oh I understand that, Tina. But Rod has been eating fast food or Deli food for several weeks now, so I thought to feed him with some simple but good food.
I made enough that there will be left overs tomorrow night.

going to bed soon. G'nite everyone.

It's too hot to eat here too. At 9:00 PM it was 91 and sweltering. It's hard to even breathe. It hasn't rained in forever.

Good morning...I wish I could send you all some rain.

It is so cold here that we put the electric heat back on. Chance of frost for tonight. Last year at this time it was so hot that you couldn't find a fan in the stores and people were buying out air conditioners....this year we are still wearing our Fall clothes lol

Today will be our monthly trip to Walmart...GG is excited. The fact that it is a 45 minute drive away and DH is still laid off(it is too wet for his new Summer job yet) makes it a special day(we have been budgeting more than usual), who would of thought such a thing. GG has been planning today like a vacation haha

ah yes. That is cute about your GG. But then it is teaching her to understand that sometimes certain outings are special. You are a good Grammy.

Today I am going to see my Surgeon. he will check me out & remove my staples.
I am hoping he will allow me to go to the family Father's Day party this Saturday. (more people were free this weekend, and that works for me.)

Good morning. Sleeping until Jonni left was impossible.
She is driving to San Francisco today to spend the weekend and put off everything 'til the last minute including laundry. So I slept in this morning.
And Teddy didn't go to school. I will make up for it in activities for him today. He only has two more days of summer session until he is off for the month of July.
