I have a three year contract here, it cuts the price down by signing and at the time they were the only provider anyway. They have now added another provider but they are too high priced for my liking.

I guess Tina and I traded some coolness for heat...I wish I could send you some rain as well....although I don't think you'd want this high humidity.

I have a strange feeling it is going to be a rough day...too many family issues going on at the moment. It would be nice if one could pick and choose some family members like you can with friends.

Good Morning !! I have been up since about 5:30. I hate this leg issue thing. I would think while I am resting I would feel better.

Rainy here as well...Usually in July we are so dry that one needs to water the gardens & one does not have to cut grass but about on once every 3 or 4 weeks. Now Rod is cutting about every 3 days (provided the grass is ever dry enough for long enough.)

he is thinking this rainy weather may be the new normal--I do so hope that he is wrong.

The rains are on my news. Keep safe, please.

Good morning. This is my second time up. Woke early and went back to bed when I'm normally rising. So I'm all messed up.
Today my kids are going out to lunch. I don'know what I will do with the time yet.

still raining here...I think I will just lay around & watch TV until time to make supper---
oops..did I forget to mention I am washing clothes ??
....well, I am.

I have been busy this morning after a slow start. I feel like I accomplished something. But it's one o'clock in the afternoon and I am done.

Storms missed here.
However, my Daughter, Valarie messaged me about 9 pm telling me that if I saw a weather report of their area, that they were all ok & safe...It seems that they heard the "Freight Train sound" & so they took the baby & the dogs & went to the basement. They are all ok, as is their property. However, the neighbor is w/o their porch & garage. Thankfully they too are ok.

It may actually NOT rain here today. Don't get too excited for me though, as storms will likely come back this evening/night.

I am glad Valarie and crew are OK. I am so sorry about their neighbor's house though.
Good morning. Crazy weather though. All over. Here it is drought and water conservation making the news. People are being so good about saving water that our water mains are under too much pressure and are bursting all over the place. It's what you can expect from 50-100 year old pipes.
Today I think I will shop. There are a few things I need. So I'll get it all at once, I hope.

Well, except for one skillet. that needs to be soaked.

I am glad to hear Val and family are good, porches and such can always be replaced.

So ironic Tina, I guess the pipes will be top priority next...they'll lose more than what people would have used normally.

Well today my daughter will be in for a big reality check, they are operating on her to deliver her baby around supper....and I won't be raising this one.

Sunny, I feel like Tina does. So, I too will just hope that they both do well & come thru this healthily.

Today I put some bacon in the oven for an early lunch--I set the timer for too long (apparently). When I opened the oven door, my smoke alarms went off...now that is not big deal, but I had to walk down the basement stairs to turn them off. Now when all is well, I will need to go back down & turn the alarms back on....Did I mention I am not supposed to be going down the stairs ?? Well, I am not..

I will wait awhile, until my legs stop hurting, before I go back down, to be sure.

I figured you had to climb on a ladder or chair to turn it off. That is worse, I think. I am glad you got them turned off, though. Can Rod turn them back on when he gets home? Or do you not want to share your Cindy-like behavior with him?

Nope, I had to go down 15 stairs & across the full basement to the electrical box & switch off the smoke alarms...they are wired into the house.
I was not supposed to go down stairs, and if I did I was supposed to go slow---well I went down & back up them & I went down pretty fast. I have since took a small nap and then a pain pill. My right leg is ok the left one is not so well. I hope that the pain pill takes care of that.

AND NO, I do not want to "share" with Rodney---he would have "so much" to "say", I am sure.

OK, I won't tell him, believe me.

I'm not sure why or how, but the server had a hiccup sometime last night (I'd like to say ~11pm Pacific or so) and some of the configuration variables for the forum where blanked out, so portions of the forums where not working correctly until I saw Carol's message on Facebook and logged in to check it out and diagnose (~7am Pacific). This shouldn't be an ongoing problem past this point.

I am however going camping this coming week (7a on Sunday) but I will try to login from my phone when the signal allows to make sure nothing else creeps up while I'm out of town.

Ah, I can come in again. I thought I had broken the forum when I came in at 4 am. Glad you got us back, James.
It is 9 am and I got about all that I'm going to do already. It is not that there isn't more to do. And not that it is too hot to do it. It is that I've run out of oomph to do any more.
I would like to hear all is well from Sunny.

I too thought it was me. My sister was saying how AFTER she spoke to our internet provider about such things, she began to have trouble with her modem. and so Tomorrow they are bringing out an updated one for her.
THEN as we had just upgraded our internet speed, I assumed that todays problems were due to our old Modem. apparently not... Thank goodness...

I spoke to my Physical Therapist, she told me to take pain meds all day today as well as tonight, and that I probably stressed my muscles too much yesterday. So rest is the order of the day here.

All is well Tina. A baby boy weighing 9 lbs 4.5 ounces...and identical to his father.

I couldn't post in here at all this morning either.

I hope you do rest today Junie.

I have cleaned house top to bottom...I am so warm you could ring me out Time to jump in the shower.
