Good morning. I guess I forgot to come in and say good night last night. I was tired. I know I kept waiting for Carol to come in and Talk about the grandkids.
Today will be warmer. I'll do laundry and hang it out. And just some general cleanup. Inside and out.

Yea, sorry--I was tired too. The grandkids were great. I held & played with the baby while Luke was napping. And then sang to him & rocked him before his Nap. Afterwards when Rod came to see me both boys ran to me constantly to be held. Rod said, what am I chopped liver ??? LOL (that was good to see, for me anyway;;) It was nice to see how much Rod loves his Grandsons.

I even fed Luke some of my lunch French fries...Not that his Mommy was too happy with me. Mind you she turned around & made sure I had given him an extra French fry when he ate all of 'his' lunch. (her promise not mine)

I am going to check on my mom this morning & then I will go to a Bridal shower for my cousin's daughter. Mom and my sister will not be there, so I am hoping to sit with some other relative, else I will be all alone.

I hope they warm up to Rod eventually. It sounds like you had a good day. And another one to look forward to.
One load is on the line. Time to grab something to eat.

Rod spoke to Luke about all that they do together (play in grandpa's truck, & build railroad tracks so Luke could play with trains, etc.) So Luke went to grandpa & hugged his legs...LOL.

I got drenched in a sudden rain storm at the time I was going into the shower, but I had a good time, and won one of the attendance prizes. I got to visit with my cousin & her Mom (my aunt)...then I went to my Aunt's house & we 3 continued the visit.

Supper is now in the oven, and so here I sit.

I woke at 5:20 am. THAT I do not appreciate...but oh well.

Thanks about my Emily & the boys. I hope I at least get to have them this one last Christmas.

Today I will take my Mom some Lunch after we eat. Then I will see what other help she needs. I am going to be taking care of her this week, while my Brother works & my sister is gone on one of her Vacations, lucky lady.

Good morning. Today is stripping bedding and such. I am also going to pick up a new rake at Home Depot today. I wear them out somehow.

We are home. Mom was not hungry & said she had food to eat up. So, we went to get her mail, delivered that & then we came home. she said if she needed me she would call otherwise, I will go there in the morning to "do" for her then.

I am tying up loose ends here at home now instead.

In a bit I am going to pop Teddy in the tub. The beds are all made. I'm rolling along here.

And I'm done. I'm so tired. But we are ready for the new week ahead. And I can go to bed in an hour or so. Sweet dreams all.

I am exhausted as well. as soon as the puppy goes out to potty I will head for my pillows.

Errands to run here after I fill the line with clothes. Another dry day ahead

Good morning. I am ready for the new week ahead. I want to buy that rake I didn't go out for over the weekend. I'm not sure what else is on my agenda.

Good Morning. sunny & not hot--and we have a cool breeze...great weather...

I made all of my phone calls this morning (various Drs. & the pharmacy) & now, I am on my way to my MOM's & then I need to go to the grocery store. I need far too much..oh well...

And I am done for the day. It's much too warm to think about working outdoors. And I've done everything indoors that I intend to for the day. I will cook some mac&cheese later. I think a nap will happen soon.

Back form my Mom's..and she is set for the night.
I also went grocery shopping & ran a few errands for my Mom.

Supper is over (Taco Crunch) and I think I will relax for awhile.

I will veg until bedtime. I ended up not napping this afternoon. And I got a few more things done. It feels good to have them done. But I am very tired now.

Sorry you did not get to nap this afternoon...but glad that you got more work done.

I myself "TOOK A BATH" tonight. First one since I had my first operation. It was glorious !!! Did I mention how I very much "Dislike" showers ????

I will go to ceramics today & then between then & lunch I will go to my Mom's & see if she needs anything done.

It is still coolish out, so this evening I will go out & fine tune my weeding. (I think)

Aren't we supposed to have some type of Moon thing that I would want to look at...like around the 27th ??? Excuse my mind please...LOL

I love taking baths as well...I fill the tub with lavender epsom salts and soak away.

Tina, I hope you get a good rake...things are made so flimsy now. I have teeth missing from mine as well.

Good morning. It's already mighty hot. I hope to get some outdoor work done today. But we will see if my body cooperates.
Today is also Jonni's 24th birthday. But she is just getting cash from me. I've been asking for a couple of months what she would like.
I am off to start my day.

Happy Birthday to Jonni. I usually just give money to my kids now a days..they can get what they want that way.

IT is 80 outside, and there is a cool breeze. It is a wonderful day. I am thinking if I can wake up I will go out this evening & try to touch up (weed wise) my flower beds.

It is nearly 9 at night and it is only down to 79*. That's too warm. I like it cooler at night. Good night. I'm ready to turn in. Sweet dreams all.

I put off filling in my forms for Physical Therapy so I just finished them.. Now I will wind down & then head to bed myself.

I'm up in the night. I remembered that Teddy ripped his swim trunks at school. I have a spare pair here somewhere but can't seem to lat hands on them right this minute. So I just ordered him more. Now I should be able to go back to sleep.

I've been fixing drywall dings and scrapes...a yearly repair that is never ending. I've also started to tackle a project that I have wanted to do forever. I am using exterior stucco to make a fake brick wall behind my wood stove. The taping is taking forever though

Yes, I would love to see that. I bet it will look great, not to mention it will be helpful insulating the wall from the heat of the stove.

Back at the farm, we had fake brick on a wall in the living room. I loved the look.

It is cool here again. Soon I will get dressed & get ready to leaver for my first therapy session. I was going to see Luke afterwards, BUT I remembered I need to do some shopping, so visiting will have to wait until next week

it is to be one of the last nice days before the"return of the heat", or so they say. I would not mind if the weather stayed in the low 80's all the time....

I have no concrete plan for today. First I will drink some coffee, then I think I might bake some. We shall see.

Back in now--apparently Sunny & I were posting at the same time.

Good morning. I plan on shopping today. And then coming home to clean up more leaf litter from around my house. At least a little before the heat sets in. We will see what I can get done.

I made healthy cookies for Luke. (ripe bananas/oats/peanut butter. They are supposed to have DK. choc chips but I used raisins instead..and they can have a bit of honey--I left it out.

Now 2 peach cobblers are in the oven...when they are done, I will take one to Emily. Sad part is Luke will be napping by then..

That sounds heavenly, Carol. I got my shopping done and put away. I made a bunch of burger patties for dinner and the next couple of days. I raked up all around the house. And fixed two sprinkler systems. Next is getting more raked up further around my house. My yard is in tiers on a hillside. I work on different levels at a time. Then I have to work on the ditches. There is a lot to do. But I will get it done (with a little hired help). It is a hot day.

Well I delivered the peach crumb, and Luke's cookies. I told Emily Luke was to get a cookie when he woke up..she said ok...

Micah smiled when he saw me..and he went right to me. That was a good feeling for sure.

Bad news is, the people who looked at their house Tuesday, broke their huge picture of the navy guy kissing the nurse in times square after the war was over ??? and the shards went into her charcoal area shag rug. Of course they had to get rid of it, what with both the boys on the floor all the time. That rug was her favorite thing....

They then complained about things that were not so. Rod says the people were running it down in the hopes of getting the price lowered...Em says no way. (not for them anyway)

How did they break a picture like that? I'm so sorry they were like that.

Thanks so much, Tina. I did not really ask what happened, but then Emily & Chris were not there. The photo was on their mantle, so they had to really work at it, I must say. BUT as they were knocking everything, I imagine they were "seeing" just how well the photo was attached to the wall.

Christopher was active Navy before & after they were married & is now in the Navy reserves. That Photo meant a lot to her. The replacement is not as clear or as sharp.

Tomorrow I have to take Rod's truck in to get the oil changed.
Then I will go see how my Mother is & visit for awhile. Then my cousin & I are going to a ceramics show & then out to eat lunch. I am looking forward to the day.

Junie didn't do my baking as well yesterday so that is on my list for today

I finished the stucco wall and it needs to cure for a month or so before painting. It was so funny, GG was lecturing me about how I was making such a mess everywhere and that I better get it cleaned up soon. Certainly a Grammie's girl.

Your yardwork is never ending isn't it Tina...I do hope the hired hand is working out well.

That is sad about the pic being broken Junie...the worst part is that people will be in and out touching and moving things all the time. I can see Em losing her patience soon.
