I think Tina is sharing her heat...we should be wearing sweatshirts by now but instead we have to wear tank tops. Mother Nature is so mixed up.

I managed to get the mowing done yesterday...I do need to do a bit of weeding in a few minutes though.

Horridly hot here too, although I think Tina probably has us all beat. (not a good race to win though I am thinking)

A short week--YAY !!!
I do not know for sure what today has in store for us.--I have had coffee in bed though--

well, the printer is installed to the desk top. It now has Adobe Flash Player & a free anti-virus recommended by my federal employee SIL. Then I printed out the e-mails that dell sent me, copied the return shipping label, & the information that I had to provide them that is enclosed in the box with my laptop. The Lap top is now all packed up. And yes I am scared that I did it wrong---It is not like I can replace the $600. + computer any time soon.

All in all a productive day I would say.
Now I have to wait to call FedEx tomorrow. let us hope that they come early so I get to at least go to lunch with my ceramic friends.

and oh !! DH & I have been dancing to songs from the 70's that he played when he was in a band.

Dancing, how wonderful! That will get your legs healed fast.
I've done all I can do to be ready for the week. I'm just going to veg the rest of the evening.

I am so tired, I do not know which way to turn. I cannot go to bed b/c the dog has to go out at 10-10:30 tonight for the last time. This is why Rod will not have a dog until he is retired. I need a shower also, but that will not happen until tomorrow.

I may try sleeping in a recliner tonight. We shall see, I am very tired.

I too woke up too early, Tina. The good news is that I have my laptop pick up scheduled. and it is for tomorrow, so I get to go to ceramics today. YAY !!

Good morning. After I take Teddy to school today, I'm going to go to Michael's. Just to look at all of the crafty stuff and give my youngest some ideas. She needs some new things to do. So it's going to be a good day.

I failed to go to sleep last night. I have been awake since yesterday at 6:30 am. I do not do this very often, & boy am I glad of that !! I MAY try for a nap once the fed ex guy comes by.

I am home for a minute. I took Teddy to school after swinging by the bank ATM. I went shopping for some essentials and came on home. I've put that away and put some chicken breasts in the crock pot. Now I'm snacking on some grapes and a couple of mini donuts until Jonni is ready to go. Then off to Michael's.
The last couple of nights it has been too hot and humid to sleep comfortably. Without a/c, it has really eaten into my sleep. Only a couple more days though....

I had a bit of a nap this afternoon. YAY !!!
Still waiting on the Fed Ex guy.

The world is so weird. Did I post that I went back to work at the health department 2 days a week? I think I did. They called so I went. It's totally different than what I was doing and so far I like it. I contact parents of children who've recently been in the hospital and see if they understand the discharge information. So no real patient contact and no pressure. A person I talked to today is adopting the 18 month old son of her mother in law. True story. The mother in law, who was or is a drug addict, had random sex with strange men, ended up pregnant and the baby was born addicted to cocaine and heroine. She took the baby home and abused and neglected him so her adult son took him home, took his mother to court, and now he and his wife are the custodial parents. So he, Travis, and his wife, Grace, are raising Travis's half brother has their own child. It's wonderful that they care for this little child but it's soooooo weird.

Life s weird, Sheri. Glad that that little innocent baby will have a good life. I hope that it ends up being OK. I am glad that you are enjoying working a few days a week. That sounds as if it would be the best of both worlds. You will have some $$ of your own, but you will have plenty of days off to enjoy whatever comes along. YAY for you!!!

I got my lap top picked up & the people at dell will be getting ahold of me soon.

Good morning. My day started hot and humid and early again. Just another day or so of excessive heat and we will be done with it, I think. I hope. It stinks having humidity without rain.
Today I will get Teddy to school and get some things done around the house. That's the plan at 5 am, at least.

It's the last day of our heatwave. We are to go back down to mid-90's tomorrow. I will like anything with less humidity.

I fell into bed last night with out saying sweet dreams. I was tired.
Good morning. I woke with the heat. I'm waiting for the local weather report in a minute to see if we really are getting some relief or not.
I'll shop for the weekend after I take Teddy to school. Milk and bread mostly. I'll see what fruits and vegetables look good. We are surviving mostly on salads and sandwiches and bowls of cereal around here. Filled in with yogurt and cheese. It's been too hot to think about warm food or preparing anything else.

It is 9/11. Never forget !!!

We had MORE rain last night--and I do not know if it is done for the day or not.

Today I will do a bit around home, and then go to Physical Therapy. Then I will go do some light grocery shopping and home to do more cleaning.
After supper, I will go to watch 2 of my grandsons and spend the night there.

IF you do not see me, tomorrow I will be watching my other grandson while my oldest is at the dentist. Then we will go to the Church's Genealogy & Craft Fair.

Tina, we just got a notification that cucumbers shipped from California may have salmonella....just keeping you informed.

DH is on his way to pick up GG from school, she'll stay the weekend at least. I have been busy completing some little projects while she is not here. I just got done relining the bottom of my cabinets with contact paper. The one under the sink is done with vinyl floor tiling. Cheap and easy.

Our weather is cooling down nicely but we are getting lots of rain as well.

I have been very busy, we are cutting next years firewood. Yesterday was a productive day...this morning my bones feel like I'm a 100 years old.

Good morning. Today is a getting ready for school day. Some hair and nail trimming and washing and shaving will get done. And some laundry. That is always enough on Sundays.
The rains missed us yesterday. We have another shot at them today though.

Yes I had a great time with the Grands.
Friday night I stayed at Emily's so she & Chris could send the evening out. then I held Micah while he slept off & on all night--poor guy was getting a cold & could not lie down & breath, so on my shoulder it was. I did not mind in the least.
Today we are having a dinner in the Parish Hall, with a local German Band as a backdrop to the meal. Valarie & Henry came for the weekend so they will go with us.
Henry thinks it is a big deal to sit in Grandpa's chair & hold the remote. he looks at grandpa & grins too.

This evening we were to go to Emily & Chris's for dinner to celebrate Luke's actual 3rd Birthday. BUT Emily & Micah have fevers so everything was canceled.
BUT not to worry, on the 26th there is a joint birthday party for both Luke & Micah.
I have yard work to do anyway..
