Tomorrow is a full day with lots of errands to accomplish.

Tina, I am so sorry about the freezer. We had that happen to us, I was so discouraged I cried. I hope the loss isn't too bad.

Dog sitting again Junie....will they take the dog with them when they leave to their new home?

I have a full day ahead with phone calls and such....now my DD is threatening to give me two kids to raise, isn't life just grand?

Good morning. I had so much trash in the freezer that i am not too sorry to see it go. The lost meat, however....

Tina, sorry for the freezer konking out. We too had that happen. DH said we could not afford a new one. I told him he was mistaken. T took my Sears card in bought one & paid on it until it was ours. And bless be that I have it. I would not lose a whole lot if mine died right now, either. BUT I do keep ice packs & ice in it to aid in the efficacy of it.

BUT piece of advice. When it is time for a new one get a frost free one. The one we looked at happened to be one you have to defrost, and I was not thinking, so we bought that one. BAD idea.

Gracious, Sunny----That is quite the heated comment. I have no doubt but that you would do an excellent job raising them, though.

Got up early today... got some stuff done .. we may go take a drive up to the mountains today.. see the fall colors. Have lunch , maybe shop the antique stores... just a day for us... gotta do it before snow flies and it's to cold..

I understand the loss of a freezer too... I keep a bowl with a couple icecubes in it in mine so I know if the power went off without us noticing , I would lose a lot right now if mine went out , just filled it for winter... and I agree with frost free.. so much easier to deal with.. especially since mine is in the basement...

I had lobster and things in that freezer. Bummer. And I kept it out on the screened in patio. Not the best place for one. Next one is going to be frost free and an upright.

I woke feeling fine this morning but my daughter didn't. She woke with a sore throat and cold symptoms. Halfway through the morning, I caught whatever it is. Yuck! I'm taking stuff to try and get rid of it now.

Well we decided to do the mountain ride tomorrow...so did laundry today... and we drove over to the outlet mall they just redid and discovered it is now all stores that kids like.. had a good walk around it though...it's built so you walk around in a huge rectangle, has a opening in the middle for a food court... it's a possibility for walks this winter if they don't get the mall close to us finished.. they have been remodeling it for the last year.. not closed but you can't get access to the inside part.. just to each store from the outside doors.. so no winter walking trail... LOL!

Well off to make some pasta salad for dinner... Joe is cooking on the grill.. chicken for me- steak for him...

Sorry about losing the lobster and other food Tina... that does hurt... !

Nasty, nasty cold. I am going to bed as soon as Teddy will allow me. Sweet dreams all.

Sorry for the cold, Tina. I will hope it is like the virus that we have here. One is ill for like 3 days. so not a cold, but still feels poorly as if you had one. My sore throat did hang on for another 3 or 4 days though, but at least I did not feel so bad.

I hope that you and your DD feel better sooner rather than later..and that Teddy does not get it.

I got mine from my DD & her baby boy. And then I "shared" it with my DH....

The plan is, right now, to go to school and shop but that is subject to change.

You know, I love the weather of fall, but I do not like how everyone can & does get sick. I hope Ted is not sick Tina, nor Sonny's GG either. And speaking of that, How are you Tina ??

Rod is sick also, and he will not take anything for it--you know, b/c it is more fun to suffer.

On my way soon to my youngest DD's house. With all she has to do, she has thought to have a yard sale today. You know the day before her 2 son's Birthday party.

Good morning. I don't feel much better but it's early yet. The faucet, formerly known as my nose, is still gushing. But my throat is no longer sore. I think I will survive. I hope everyone has a great Saturday.

Well that is a start, Tina. I hope the trend continues.

My experience was just the opposite. I had the gushing & over-all bad feeling. Then when the nose stopped, & I thought I was going to live, then the throat began. Either way it is no fun.

DH woke me once again. We are going to have to have a talk. I see no reason for him to want me awake just because he wakes so early. (5 a.m. on a Saturday)

This morning I am cleaning house as my oldest & her family are coming up for the party & will stay here tonight.

The party does not begin until 3 so I have plenty of time to get it all done.

Good morning. I had a lousy night's sleep. I must have slept too much yesterday. But I'm not feeling too bad so I'll take it.
Today I hope to get caught up on a few things around here and get ready for the week in general. I hope everyone has a good day.

We had a great time. And the boys had a great time. Once little Micah found out about what cake was, he had some in both hands. But the good news is he was willing to share with the smaller girls. Out of his hand of course.

Valarie, Brian & Henry stayed the night last night. Valarie & Henry are taking a nap. when they wake, we will all go to see my MIL & then out to eat.

It is an over-cast day here. I hope it does not rain.

It is nice to have a shared party for the boys Junie, it must have been so much fun.

Friday was a cleaning day, yesterday was an errand/shopping day(GG needed her Winter boots and such) and today it is a baking day. There is always something to do it seems.

Yes, I too wonder about GG boots. I am sure she is happy with them. Yesterday at the party, my great-niece had on a new pair of boots. she was so happy !!

Tina, do not over-do. My sister & her DIL are both sick--after being sick, thinking they were better & then relapsing. So please take it easy my dear.

I am very sleepy. but if I nap now, so late, I will never get to sleep tonight.

Oh, I am not overdoing anything. Other than making sure my kid has is 3 square meals a day, I am a vegetable. He did have a bath and got his face shaved and his hair washed.
I put beans on to soak last night and I've had them cooking most of the day. Dinner is pretty much ready whenever I am. Nothing much easier than that.

while I know all we Mom's "gotta do what we gotta do", I was worried about you. Glad to hear you are taking it as easy as possible.

Beans--I SO wish Rod would eat those. I have to have them at a local restaurant when they ever have them on special.

Make a pound of beans at a time and freeze single serving packets for yourself. Really, cooking them in a slow cooker is so easy. And the health benefits are wonderful.

I didn't get to see the Blood Moon, as it was way cloudy here tonight, but I assume some did. Oh Well

Good Morning. I woke early, so I am drinking my coffee for a few before I begin my day.

Stack of tissues for my nose, check. I'm about ready to venture out.

Yes, GG loves her boots...she picked them out. A nice warm Fall pair and a good pair of Winter ones, I also bought her new hat and such. My Aunt bought her a ski suit last year on clearance(only $12 so she had to buy it for someone she said), thankfully it will fit her this Winter.

We got to watch the Harvest moon and the eclipse, it was beautiful.

Today I dug my carrots, 2 and a half gallons worth....although the horses got treated to a nice few handfuls. My garden is empty so for the first time ever I have spread lime in it. DH said to give it a try.

I am glad you are all getting better.

Because of the strange tides that the moon is causing, my uncle has taken a drive to a local island with some friends by boat and they gathered a nice feast of clams. He gave two gallons to my mom who in turn dropped off a gallon here. We'll have a nice clam chowder for supper.

Mmmm, fresh clam chowder. Heavenly!
I finally felt well enough to do the grocery list that has been growing since Thursday. That's done and put away plus Teddy's lunch stuff is all bagged up for the week plus.
I'm glad she liked the boots. My kids didn't always get much choice in their snow gear in general so I tried to give them boots that they really wanted. It made for some interesting color combos but happy kids. .

Good morning, we are getting the most wonderful South winds....but are supposed to get pounded later and tomorrow with heavy rains. They are already warning the coastal region for flooding because of the higher than normal tide.

Today I have to take apart and re align the door trims on my inside doors. The doors squeak when shutting and it has driven me crazy long enough.
