The oatmeal cookies are started, Tina. I just ran over b/c my oldest DD had sent me a message.

my Grandmother had 5 children & her father was living with them...so she doubled her Oatmeal cookie recipe.
As a result this recipe makes 8 dozen, give or take..YUM !!! If you were closer, I would most certainly share.

Ice cream sounds good, Sunny. I would copy that idea if we had any right now...

well, I am going back to making my cookies...If I do not come back in again tonight, Sweet Dreams to you all.

I used to go barefoot all the time. But these days my feet get cold. And ache from arthritis. So it's socks for me. And I asked for slippers for the first time this Christmas.
I think I can smell your cookies from here, Carol. Enjoy them.

My feet are always cold too, Tina. No arthritis yet though--well not in my feet---I think it may be getting my left hand occasionally though.

The cookies do smell good, Tina. I agree. 4 dozen will be with nuts & then the last 4 dozen will be with nuts & raisins. I LOVE them with raisins.

Good morning...I need to get outside in a bit and clean up the foot of snow that fell. It's calling for a half a foot for today as well. Then apparently I 'just have' to take GG sliding lol

I'll take some oatmeal cookies also but can I have dried cranberries instead of raisins? grin

My feet are hot all the time and I can't stand it...I'm sure as I get older I'll want the comfort of that but for right now it drives me crazy. Worst part is that going bare feet makes for some rough feet in need of sanding all the time.

Have a good day all.

Good morning.
Yes, I love a good pumice stone for my feet. I hope you don't ever have circulation troubles, Sunny. It's not fun.
I woke to rain pounding on my roof. What a lovely sound. I am very glad I don't have to go out in it today. I will stay in and wrap up the last of my gifts.

I wonder if Carol fell into the oven with her cookies.
I've had a relatively peaceful day. But I'm tired anyway.

Nope she did not--but she did bake until midnight or better,

This morning I went to Ceramics & we had a Christmas Party. Then at lunchtime we went out to lunch with the guy that runs ceramics and the 2 husbands of 2 of the girls in ceramics. We even had our table reserved for JIC.

I ate far too many of my Grandmother's Oatmeal cookies. BUT color me happy.

Good morning.

I am glad you had a nice Christmas party to attend Junie, it's nice to get out when you can.

Enjoy your rain Tina.

It snowed again all night...and of course my daughter was 'lucky' enough to get a 'cancellation call' to take the grands for Christmas photos today. Walmart has stopped taking pics here, so you have to book a private photographer.

I must head out in a few to clean my driveway so I can get out to take them after lunch.

On a strange note, my daughter had an appt with a doctor yesterday. She called a cab and when he arrived he had an envelope for her. He said he couldn't tell her who gave it to him to deliver to her but inside was a $50 card for groceries and a $50 bill. She is trying to find out who sent it and why?

That is a lovely gift, Sunny. If the donor wants to remain anonymous, then let them. It helps the season stay lovely. Magical.
I am going out for bread and a few other things in a bit. Then I'm going to hole up for the next couple of days. Enjoy the rains and the holiday.

Good Morning, I have been up for hours.....It is going to be a LONG day.

Sorry for the snow, Sunny..be safe out there while on your trip to take photos.

That is nice to hear about your DD's gift. It's nice to know that someone is thinking of her and of the kids this time of year.

Tina: I saw where there is a LOT of snow out west of me. Does thst include you?

We just finished our first round os storms. I assume that when all the storms will end this unseasonably warm snap will come to an end. We shall see.

I had planned on going to visit Mom today--but b/c of the storms I was advised to stay home.

I am about 3000 ft above sea level. The snow mostly stays above me in the mountains. Once or twice a year it drops down to our level and then we are snowed in by a quarter inch of the stuff. We have no removal equipment or salt and such down here. Nor proper tires, etc. I just stay home. And enjoy the view.
But I am loving the rain we are getting this year. I hope it keeps up.
I went to the grocery store today to stock up on some things. It was early and not yet crowded at all. It was good.

Thanks for explaining all of that to me, Tina. It is nice to know that you are safe.

I looked things over some..I think I have enough provisions for awhile, so I will just stay here like I was told.

Good news is the beds are clean & a lot of my work is done. I did not expect that to happen so today is a good one here as well.

Thanks Tina. I am glad as well.

I am headed to bed today..Rod & I have a full day tomorrow.
First we will visit a lady who works in the office where he works, then to see my mom for a few moments.
Then we will go to Lebanon Illinois to spend the day. It is a town with many small novelty stores & quaint places to eat.

IT will be a good way to spend the day. Then tomorrow evening, we will Skype with Emily & her boys while they open some of their Christmas gifts. Then on to Church.

So, if I am not back in tomorrow, you all have my itinerary.

..........Merry Christmas Eve ! ..........

Merry Christmas Eve day to you as well. I could wake to a white Christmas. The snow level is coming really low. I will take what ever comes and be grateful.
I wish everyone a great day.

We are back from our outings. Between the seeing of a coworker of Rodney's, & going shopping to me, we came home & Rod put a small beautifully wrapped box on the kitchen bar. In it was money. he said that way I could decide what I wanted when we went shopping in Lebanon.

Well, the Jewelry store I wanted to go to was open...I bought 2 beads for my family bracelet. I am now set until my Valarie has her babies. Sadly the restaurant Rod wanted to go to was closed for the holidays..We wound up at Denney's in Edwardsville to eat.

Soon I am off to visit my Mom.

Merry Christmas Eve Day from me.

That is very nice, Carol. It looks like you are having a very nice Christmas. Wish your mother a good Christmas from me as well.
Teddy received a cheap Nerf rocket today. He is truly enjoying that thing.

Back from seeing my Mom.

My oldest Grandson Luke got to open a gift last night. he at first began t6o say look, I got another Bulldozer video...but in mid sentence her went to "look what I got" !!! yelling as loud as he could. His mom posted that video onto Face book so we could see. Mind you she posted a private video to her Aunt of it and another.

WE are now waiting for Emily to let us know when we can Skype with them.
