Yay on no rain. I hope you have a spectacular day Carol.
Good morning. I have been awakened by my dog to go out again. I am blessed he is still with me and blessed he will still waken me to go out. But those are not my first thoughts when he does. I am working on those blessings.

Hello everyone.

I had no internet this morning, sorry.

It was a nice day out, Tina.

I went to my Heart Check-up at the Drs. today. It seems I am doing good & he was pleased, but in the notes that were printed out for me to take home, it seems he thinks he told me to lose some weight...LOL.
Well that will happen but only because I think it needs to be done.

After that, I went to ceramics for a bit. Then to my Mom's..and I also went to see my MIL. It seems she leaned over to pick up a book of Family pictures she dropped & fell & hit her head. She is ok but it looks like she will end up with a black eye. She said she is ok & she is not hurting & often forgets it is even there. That made me feel good (that she is OK)

It is still NOT raining tonight--YAY for small wonders. The weather forecasts a few snow flakes in the next few days--- rolz

Yea for your dog still doing well, Tina. We still miss our Dante.

Sunny, take care & rest please.

I am off to make some popcorn. TTY all L

We had a whole lot of shaking going on here tonight. Had a 4.4 quake pretty much right under me and a slew of aftershocks this evening. It makes life interesting for sure.
I am going to bed as soon as I can settle Teddy in.
Sweet reams all.

4.4 quake---WOW glad that you and Ted are ok. I hope that one was the end of them for you.

I am soon going to bed myself.

Sweet Dreams to you all.

Good morning.

I am glad you are o.k. Tina and I hope you had no damage. I just turned on the news, the weather updates around the world sure scares a person.

Junie, I am glad that your appt went well...I need to lose weight also. Let the struggle begin.

It has been snowing everyday...right now flakes are falling the size of a quarter coin. It is so pretty.

Have a good day all.

Thanks, Sunny. and no we had no damage. The crack in the basement wall has been there---Rod thought he dug down deep enough when he repaired it before--apparently he needs to revisit his repair...so no damage this time. I guess in the area where we live it is high enough that we do not have to really worry about flooding, and low enough that we do not have to worry (so much) about tornados & the winds that "provide".
Now if the rain can hold off until the next round (if there is one).

Those are some large snowflakes. Sunny! I bet they are pretty.
How are you feeling???

I realized last night that instead of 1 appt. today & one tomorrow, I have 2 today. Luckily they are spaced far enough apart that I can do both.

I wish you all a great & dry day.

Good morning. I was up way too early. And remain up now although I have tried to go back to bed a couple of times. The dog had other ideas. He gets uncovered and he needs help covering back up and yelps util he gets it. So annoying.
Today I will be cooking some things to warm us up and feed us. And it is time to wash my kids hair. So I will keep busy.

My computer has been acting up...it keeps saying Shockwave Flash plugin isn't responding. Not that I have a clue what that is.

Time to sew that dog a sleeping bag Tina thumbup

Junie, I am feeling better but I seem to get nosebleeds everyday now.

I have been cleaning up snow...and pulling a sleigh with GG in it. Both have worn me out. lol

I would gladly make the dog a sleeping bag but he would still need covering up. He used to sleep with Teddy but the bed is to tall for him any more. So now he sleeps on a sofa and uses an old bedspread for a blanket.
My day was good. Still cold. And I'm over it.

Good morning.

I am still watching the snow fall and am thankful I do not have to go anywhere. I'll have to shovel the roofs soon though....probably after the next storm.

I woke up this morning feeling good, it has been awhile since I felt this energy and it's a wonderful sensation. Now if I can keep the bugs away for a bit. lol

Have a great day everyone.

I am glad you recovered from your flu bug, Sunny. I've never recovered my appetite from mine. Not such a bad thing.
Today Teddy and I will get ready for the new year with haircuts. It seems like the best way to bring one in.

I actually got busy this morning and cleaned up a little of the wind damage we've gotten lately. The whole top of a eucalyptus broke off and brought down a few other branches with it. I'm talking trunks bigger than my waist. I have to get my chainsaws tuned up. But meantime, I cut off a lot of the brushy stuff and piled it on the side of the road for pickup. There is another tree down that I need to work on and a couple of others that are dead that need to be cut up.
It felt good to get something accomplished. Maybe I'll get hungry.

Not so much hungry. So I'm doing mac n' cheese for dinner, Teddy's favorite. Appetizers sound good though.

I just watched the last Big bang theory again...and a lot of clips from other times...
this was after I watched a lot of "It's A Wonderful Life" I love that movie..!!!

I will stay up until just past midnight..on general principals.

as a side note--

IF you have windows 10 and are happy..
DO NOT upgrade when they ask you to. (supposedly there are some bugs in the Original win 10 they needed to get rid of)
My computer was fine after I got windows 10..but now not so much.

G'nite & I hope that you all have a wonderful 2016 !!

Good morning. Everyone must have had a busy day yesterday. I was zonked and fell into bed last night.
Today is my usual first of the month thing. Paying bills and banking stuff. Not fun but necessary. And a blessing that I am able.
I hope everyone has a good day.

Happy belated New Year from me as well.

Yes Tina, it was busy yesterday.....I had errands to do running with DD and the new babies side of the family. Then dodging people thinking I was cooking a New Years meal for everyone...not happening anymore.

I did make a nice Chinese food meal though for DH and I.

Chinese sounds good, Sunny.
I spent way more time doing my finances this morning than I had planned. But I cleaned out '15 and got everything ready for '16. It feels good to be ready. Now I am off to pay those bills and bank.

Good morning. Or afternoon to most of you. I came in earlier but no one was around at 4 am. And I had nothing much to say.
Today I am getting ready for some storms. I think 4 in a row daily, starting out light and getting heavier as they progress. So I'm going to get ready for them today. It is the warmest morning we have had in a couple of weeks. 52* A nice day to be outside.

Tina, Carol has gone to Val's(her daughter)

I just spent a horrid night with my mom, she took a bad reaction to medication and was so agitated and confused...of course all this happens in the middle of a snow storm.

I'm BAAAACK !!

Tina, I am sorry--I was sure I had posted that if I was not back in you should all know where I went.

My bad--I am so sorry. Esp. with my history.

Rod & I went to see my Daughter last weekend. We left early on New Years Day, after the flood waters had receded enough on I-55 South so that we could easily drive down to Southern Missouri.

WE went because my daughter is 20 weeks pregnant and will not be talking a prolonged trips from now on in, and I wanted to see her before I had my next surgery.

You see, I have this hernia, that I had, well pretty much since within the first year after my total mesh repair of August 2008.
BUT with the baby coming, I do not want to take the risk of it strangulating right if/when I am needed to help my daughter after she gives birth. So it will take place January 14th.

WE had a pretty nice visit though I must say.

Plus it is nice to be missed, thanks.

I only worried slightly, Carol. Because of your history. But I had hoped it was good things, and it is! Congratulations! Best of luck on your surgery also.

Thanks, Tina. I appreciate it.

I forgot to mention...The very first day we were at my daughter's house, we were straightening up the guest bedroom (I told her NOT to do any cleaning ahead of time, that if she wanted it done, I would do it when I got there)
....and my crepe soled shoes I wear so I do not slide & fall, caught on the Velux blanket she had on the bed/floor. ---well, I did fall, on my hernia side, which co-incidentally is my bad femur side---the one that had not healed completely yet...but I only made myself sore---so it is all good. thumbup

Poor Henry was scared---but his Mommy assured him that I was fine---so he got happy again.

Good morning. I am moving slow this morning. Coffee will help with that. I need to run an errand today but that's about it. Then I'll hole up for the week of rain we are getting. I am glad school is not starting again here for another week.

Good Morning. Coffee--that is a wonderful idea, Tina. I am going to follow your example. I have some errands to run myself today. Mainly to go see Momma. Then eventually I will begin to take down my Christmas Tree & other decorations. I feel like I just put up my tree---oh well...

You did just put up your tree, Carol. I am glad I did not this year. Another thing I do not have to clean up. I have enough stuff to clean as it is.
I got out, shopped and back within an hour. I'm now ready for the rain. I could have lived with the bread I had on hand. But I would have been rationing it and I wanted to make some French toast. Now I no longer feel like French toast. rolz But I could make it if I wanted to.

Good Morning,

I got up and did my bills and budget stuff... always grateful to have enough to pay them and eat too..

We cleaned up our Christmas décor over the weekend... got some new containers too.. old ones had cracked and had holes.. so while we were at it we cleaned and threw some out.. consolidated the rest .. and after it was all down.. took stuff off my shelves and dusted.. Joe has had fireplace going the last couple weeks so house is really dusty...we are finally warming up to our regular temps this week...been cold the last couple weeks...not my favorite thing... We did have a good Christmas with the family- Carrie hosted dinner .. was a good time....

My fridge froze up again yesterday... still working though... I started putting some extra money away cause I know we will need a new one soon..it froze up before and we let it thaw.. and it worked again, but now I don't know .. hate to spend money on another one... they all seem to be run with computers and that makes them expensive to fix...guess we will see..

We start school again this week... YaY! Not... but I am to concentrate on the social studies this semester.. and science experiments...so hopefully we can move right along on those and finish it early...

Well it is time to get busy and get my grocery list started.. have to go buy a new blind for my family room too..it just broke yesterday... always something...

Have a good day all... !

Nana

Hi
back form town.

I put up my tree link in the teens of December I think it was---I am too lazy to look back.

I guess the real problem is that I was so busy that the holiday season just flew by....

I am off to make supper. I saw where this was National Spaghetti Day ? so that is what we are having for supper. I think as I do not have lettuce I will put some chopped up broccoli into my meat sauce & call it good enough.
