Sounds good to me, Carol. Is your mom healing well?

actually she is doing well. She can now sit up on the edge of the bed to eat and they have her going to the bathroom by herself--with the aid of a walker of course, but still an improvement----However, she is not eating too well, she says the food smells bad & it makes her sick to her stomach. It occurred to me that the horrid smells she is having is due to her injury, as I remembered that when I first came home from the hospital after a car accident when I was young, any time I smelled my mom's cooking it smelled like French fries being made in OLD-OLD grease--no matter if it was fried food mom was cooking or not)---so I reminded her of that. That seems to reduce her worry over the matter.
She had asked for soup for supper & they gave it to her--she ate it & it went down well. another victory !!!

going to clean up & then make some popcorn... shewinks

Yes, injuries and illnesses can affect your appetite. Sticking to mild flavored soups and things, it should get better. Although her favorites might change in the future.

Thanks Tina> you are right of course--and then add to that that my Mother is an extremely picky person.

While she is less vocal about it in the last several years, she is fond of going to a restaurant & saying that whatever she ordered is not good--the REAL reason being that it does not taste like her version of whatever she ordered. And of course it should... rolz

Good night, Tina..

And a good night to everyone else....I to will soon go to sleep.

Good morning...it is a whole minus 22*F out there, I am glad I do not have to go anywhere today.

Yesterday I spent the day running with the new grandbaby. We finally got in to see a pediatrician, he has a rumble on his chest since he was born and I wanted a full check up and x-rays on him. Now we wait the results.

Tina, my mom is better. She took a bad reaction to a cold DM syrup, she was confused and had amnesia. I remember it happened to her once when I was younger. We replayed a 5 minute conversation over and over for 4 hours. I had to hide her car keys and stay the night.

Junie, I am so glad you did not re-injure yourself with that fall.

Nana, it seems that there is always something to repair or replace..I am hoping the rest of the school year is an easy one on you.

I am off to stoke up the wood stove...this cold weather is nasty.

Good morning. I hate to see how cold you're getting, Sunny. I hope it mellows out for you soon. I hope your grandson's problem is something he will outgrow.
DM is something my daughter can't take either. It makes her very loopy for sure.
I hope your mother's appetite returns with something that is simple to eat that satisfies all her nutrition needs, Carol.
I am battened down and ready for the rains now. Bring it on.

Enjoy your rain Tina.

We are just getting a little taste of the cold...our really cold weather hits in February. I am so thankful for my wood heat.

It's raining now. Quite a bit. And the temps are remaining about 50 or thereabout.
I have been in, snug and warm and going through Teddy's clothes. I have enough new and clean outfits to dress him for school for a couple of weeks. I'll be ordering more soon to have on hand for the future. I like a back up.
And I made 3 rice pillows. Those are nice to heat up and snuggle with during chilly weather. So I have not been idle. I'll move on to the next thing in a bit.

Today my posts have the correct time but the wrong day. Guess that means I get an extra day now and then. No complaints here.

Very cold her yesterday and today. After the summer like weather it's been a big shock.

Has anyone been clothes shopping lately? All the women's pants are pull on pants!!! When did this trend start? I hate it. It's like one size fits all except me. Are you guys familiar with Stein Mart? All and I do mean ALL the pants in the store are pull on stretchy pants. Who are these made for cuz it's not me. Did I say I hate this trend?

I'm sorry that you can't find pants you like, Sheri. I am not fond of most women's pants. They don't make them to fit me either.
Good night. I am off to bed now. Sweet dreams all.

Sheri: I like the leggings..(pull on pants) as they are comfortable to wear. BUT the bad part is that you have to buy all new LONGER blouses to wear with them, so to hide your back end.

I have lots of old gabardine dress/clean-up slacks.
I am thinking mail order at Penney's (jcp.com) would have regular slacks. try looking there for first.

I regards to shopping lately, I love Ross stores..(like a TJ Maxx or something) I get a lot of name brand clothing there, and even a few regular pairs of slacks there now a days. OH< and I have dresses from there as well.

G'nite Tina

G'nite everyone...
Sweet Dreams to you all.

Since I have gained all this weight...stretch pants have been my savior. I have started a new meal plan so I am hoping to get back into my regular clothes soon. Mind you I buy the wider leg(yoga pants) and not the leggings. As I do not want to have to buy new tops as Junie said.

I buy my good dress pants and jeans from a store called Eclipse...I watch for sales because I find it pricey but it seems that the fit is best at that store. They make pants with wider thigh and butts and smaller waists for curvy gals like myself.

Today I have to run to town to watch my grandson while DD has an appointment...and it seems GG has played hooky from school pretending she is sick(next time we will not let her know that I am going) lol

Good morning. I'll need to get new jeans soon. Those are good enough for me for most things. Jeans and sweats. I do wear lighter, cotton pants in summer.
I'm waiting on the next round of rain. And it's cooler than yesterday. Brr. I hope it holds off enough for me to get out with a shovel in some daylight. I want to fix a couple of breeches in my ditches. I am glad school doesn't start until next week.
I hope everyone has a good day.

Yes, Sunny--it is often best NOT to let little ones know that Grammy is coming by....

Thanks Tina. I had a check-up with my new cardiologist today. Seems that the old one just sent an e-mail one day saying he was not practicing ,medicine there in Prairie Heart Institute any longer. Good news for me. I like this new lady--much.

Tomorrow another check-up so I can carry on with having my next Hernia Surgery. I hope this next Hernia surgery is my last.

Good morning.

It is cooler out today but it's nice to see the sun shining.

My day today shall be an easy one...just cleaning and mopping. I like these days when I don't have to go anywhere or run errands.

Good morning. Ditto on stay at home days. I like them very well. And as it's a soggy morning, I plan on sticking to home. I will do some laundry today, I think.

You took a nap--what a wonderful idea...wish I could do such a thing.

Today I got my pre-surgery testing done. So it is all a "go".

Doing our and mom's laundry right now.

Tomorrow (hopefully) I will start to take down my Christmas stuff.
