I packed Teddy's lunch and packed the car with the go-alongs. Ted got dressed and went to the car and off we went. I took him to school and stopped to shop on the way home. I came home and put all that food away, sorting and repackaging it all. Cleaned out one freezer and such. I put a pie in the oven because I needed the room in my freezer. I got some of my trash together for the dumpster. I feel good about my morning so far.
Off to clean a fridge.

I guess Tina is busy enough for all of us grin

Too funny about the pack mule comment Tina, I feel the same at times...just can't seem to put it into action though.

Sitting and enjoying coffee is a good way to rest up Carol...time to catch up on your tv shows as well kissie

It is freezing outside today...I am glad to be warm and comfy in my house. I had a few drywall repairs to fix this morning. The cable company is coming Thursday to set up a new box of some sort. I took all of the old set up apart and patched the holes where they were tacked and stapled. Apparently the new system isn't as complicated.

Hi all,

Had a quicker than usual day of school... managed to do the past due stuff and the today's too except for math and Carrie does that with him....
Derek had bad morning so he stayed home... always hard for him after a 3 day weekend... good to see Junie back... do take your time getting better... slow but sure is good...
We had a little snow last night... all but gone now... warming up , sun is out... which is nice...

We are going out with Carrie,Jon and the boys to an Italian restaurant, it's a fundraiser for Derek's baseball team... that helps , no dinner for me to make... Yay!

Well I am off to finish straightening my kitchen... and think about dressing up some to go out..

Feel better soon Carol.. take it easy..

Nana

Really, when I used to clean out my purse back in the day, I had matchbox cars and toys of all kinds. I had my husbands sunglasses and a spare diaper and bottle and all sorts of flotsam and jetsam that wasn't mine. People found it convenient to hang extra things like jackets from the strap. I stopped all of a sudden. Without saying anything. No purse. Pockets only and they held only my stuff. It was liberating. I lost 10 pounds.
Hi, Nana. You posted while I was typing.

Tina, you just described my purse lol

Hi Nana.

I am cooking an early supper(potatoe salad and such), I have to head to town after lunch...grandson has another immunization today.

I am hoping that Junie had a good nights sleep.

Good Morning !! I have bene up since 5 am. I had to sleep in the recliner last night and so when DH got up, that woke me.

Last night's sleep, while short, was good I must say. I did not get up even once last night, so that was nice. I got 5 hours straight.

I have had breakfast already and now would love a nap.

Keep warm everyone !!

Good morning. I am glad you got some good sleep, Carol. I also slept well. It helps to have rain on the roof. And much better temps than you all are having. Keep warm.
Today I'll bank and shop after getting my kid to school. I have to do some bill paying too. So grateful that I can.

Glad that you slept well also, Tina.

I myself went back to sleep this morning for 2 hours..in my own bed even. The 2 extra hours were great.
Just a while ago 2 little girls came by (school is cancelled for today.)

They offered to clear off my driveway, and they said they wanted $15.00 to do it. Of course I said yes.
Since I did not ask them if that was 15 for both or 15 each, I gave them $15.00 each.

(seems that I remember you guys telling me that $20.00 each would have been a good price to pay when this happened a few years ago.)

They were so surprised & happy that they each gave me a hug !!! That was a great gift for me !!!

BTW: it took them like 10 minutes, with 2 of them working, to clear off my porch & driveway.

Good going, Carol. You got your driveway cleared and you made a couple of girls very happy. And me happy too, just reading it.
I stopped at the bank and dropped Teddy at school. I stopped to shop and came home. I put that away and made a mess of dog food. Now I need to do another bank run before I pick my kid up.
See everyone in a bit.

Good morning. I woke with a headache today. Aspirin will take care of that. And coffee. I think it is weather related and will go away with a change.
I am going to cook something today. If I can decide what sounds good.

Good morning...I am on my way to Junie's, if she pays that well for clearing driveways then I'm cashing in grin

The cable man just left, everything is good to go....I am glad to have that done.

My SIL just called, apparently our local grocery store was held up last night by some 'dude'...it is disgusting the way the younger generation is heading. And all for the need for drugs to keep them like zombies.

Today is just a clean and mop day....we have been having extreme winds the past few days. There has already been damage to buildings and homes with steel roofing.

Has your snow stopped, Carol?
I put a roast in the crock with carrots and onions. I will add additional things in awhile. I am not in the mood for beef but I may change my mind later, when it's done. But those roasted root veggies really sound good to me. So that is the way I'm going.

NO it only snowed the one day here, Tina. It is threatening to snow more but I think it will by-pass us. It is still very cold though.

I just had that meal, Tina. It was warming will say.

And lucky me, I still have a small amount left & that will be my supper tonight. Rod will pick up his supper on the way home.

How are you healing, Carol? All is going well and not too uncomfortable?
The roast and vegetables are done and eaten. I have leftovers to package up for the next couple of days. I'm thinking of baking a cake.

I guess I am doing fine---

My DH is a strange duck. I am thinking he would treat a sister better.
I will never have another operation unless it is a life or death situation. I hate going thru this all by myself.
\But That is what I will do.

Sweet dreams to you all...and thanks for being here for me. It means a lot to me.

Bad night..I finally left the recliner & slept in bed until I began coughing at 4:30 am. Gave up & got up at 5 when DH got up.

Right now, waiting for ice pack to refreeze..... They say the heavy snows will miss us. I hope they are right.

I hope you heal quickly Junie, you need the rest to do so. I am sorry about the situation with Rod.

I have been watching the storm coming up the Eastern seaboard...it is going to be a nasty one once again.

Today I have to pick up GG for the weekend, she called last night and asked me to cook a whole chicken for supper...I am guessing Grammie's house is now a restaurant taking orders lol

We need a new coffeehouse....tag, you're it. grin
