It looks like the rains that were supposed to come back are not now. So warmer days and sunshine are ahead. I might get something done this week outdoors.

It's a rainy Tuesday here but a happy one because Colby is improving. Darbi's game is cancelled. Sort of glad cuz it's cold and windy and I don't feel like sitting in this mess.

Gosh Sunny I sure hope GG gets better quickly. Does your husband have a wrecker service?

Tina have you had more rain than usual this year?

Sure hope junie's back is ok.

We had chicken last night too. Bone in skin on roasted chicken breast. Soooo tender.

We've had more rain than the usual the last few years of drought. Not enough to call the drought over by any means.
I've got my son home from school. That calls for a nap I think.

My back is better but not 100%, Sheri. Thanks for asking though. If it continues to improve at the rate it has I should be good to go by Friday.

I am soon to finish up dishes here in a few then get into the tub for more soaking. I am also going to wash a few more loads of clothes. I am pretty sure that my dishes & clothes multiply when I am not home. Otherwise how can 2 people generate so much laundry & so many dirty dishes ??

....Going to bed as soon as the last load of clothes are dry.
....Going out for part of the day with my sister tomorrow.

Good morning. I slept well last night. I am ready for Wednesday.
I hear you with the multiplying laundry, Carol. I have wondered about that often.

I might have posted this before but I will again. I used to have a friend who had 4 children and a husband. She was a stay at home mom. She had a washer and dryer. Her laundry day was Monday. No matter what happened she only did laundry on Monday. It took all day and into the night. I was always trying to convince her to at least wash a load of whites on another day but she never did. I always prayed there wouldn't be some type of emergency on Sunday that would prevent her from washing clothes on Monday because I didn't want to have to be the friend who had to step into that chore to help out.

Good evening. I see Weezie 13 has posted..it has been forever. I hope she stops in to chat.

I was gone all day, I demanded that GG be looked at again at the clinic. They said the doctor was booked and had no appointments but I wasn't leaving without her being seen. 5 days of high fevers is enough...the doctor finally agreed and stated that her lungs had an infection and that she has the starting of pneumonia. So another puffer and a round of antibiotics is in hand...with a week off of school. I'll be glad when she starts to feel better.

Laundry...a never ending chore. I remember being a young girl and going to help the neighbor who did one day of laundry for her 6 kids. I used to love playing with her hand washer and ringer set up. No wonder she'd wait for me to go..it was a chore for her and I was too stupid to realize

I did groceries today and am past my mid month budget already...I just can't get ahead.

We had a wringer washer when I was little. I loved it and missed it when we upgraded to an automatic washer.
The more I read about the economy in general and in Canada in particular, I feel for you, Sunny. It must be very hard. I feel so blessed to live where I do and have the ready availability that I do. I pay a premium price but you pay even higher with fewer options, I think.

Tina, it is hard here. The choice of product is very limited and the quality isn't the best(because of the time it take to send produce here). Yesterday it was $7 for a 1 pound pack of strawberries, $4 for a small avocado and $8 for 8 oranges in a bag. I get so discouraged. Mind you, I should be happy that we can make a go of things...but sometimes I wonder why we live where we do.

On a better note, we are slowly rising in temps and my snow is starting to melt.

Good morning. I'm ready for Thursday. I need to stop at the store for a few things after I take Teddy to school. Then come home and batten down the hatches because it's going to get mighty windy around here.

A very late good morning. 25 minutes to noon here. I have been up for a while....well since 7:30.

I am so sorry for the cost of things in your area, Sunny. I too wonder why we live here, but because of the weather.

BUT then I remember my family is around here..and there in lies the real reason we are here.

I need to get a move on. I keep doing things--and I really need to stop, grab some food, get dressed & go see Mom.

How come the days seemed longer as the week ends? I fixed my kid an early dinner of mac n cheese and veggies tonight. That means he'll probably have a sandwich or two to keep him until morning.
I still have some paperwork to do but my day is over for the most part.
I'll watch Big Bang tonight.

OH, I love Big Bang Theory also. Tonight's was a rerun but hey, it was good.

Then I watch reruns on TBS most nights also. It is such a good show to my notion.

Off to jump in the tub. I'll talk to you all later.

Yes my back is about 99% all better. All I have is the occasional reminder that it had the spasms or whatever it was.

WE will leave for my DD on Saturday morning. Come back Sunday evening. I am still excited to go.

Good morning. Yay, it's Friday. It's also tax day. Of course that is also not a big a deal as it used to be. It use to be fun to watch all the late people scrambling to the post office.
Today is laundry day for me. So I will be sorting and washing and other fun stuff.

We are at temps above 32*F...of which I am thankful, the snow is slowly melting.

I have a nasty sore throat this morning, praying the honey works. I have to take GG to a b-day party later. Just a small group at a bowling alley. I'll just drop her off with her mother to go because I do not wish to spread any more germs to others.

I just went to the local grocer and bought two frozen turkey's. My SIL called and said they were on sale for $3 a pound. I had points saved to pay for two of them. I just took a new blade and put it into the reciprocating saw and cut one in half and the other in quarters. I am proud of myself I now have 6 big chunks of turkey in the freezer.

I seem to be getting a full days work in before lunch it seems, and it feels good. Even if I have a cough that won't quit.

A very good deal on the turkeys. And a bright solution on a way to make them most useful for you. I would have never thought of that.
I would have cooked first and frozen the cooked meat for later. That works best for me because there is so much of the year that I don't cook due to heat. I am more of a heat-and-eat person in the summers. And I don't often want much hot then either. So I'm more into sprinkling my cooked meats onto a salad. But if I lived somewhere cooler, I would be borrowing your idea.

Of course we had a great time. Henry had a great 2nd Birthday Party & it was warm enough we sat out & enjoyed it as well.

Today was good as well.

Only bad part was on the way home we got stuck in a Construction zone. IT did keep movinh, even if it was slow, so we can not complain too much.

Ouch, I'm sorry about the slow traffic. But I'm very glad you got home safely.

Yay, for good visits with family Junie.

Today I have errands to run for DH. He also added two pregnant cows to our little hobby farm this weekend...at a terrific price(a farmer was selling out) so I can't complain.

I spent the night with Darbi and Aubry last night and am going back tonight. Colby might get to start rehab Wednesday. I sure hope so. He's eating now so he'll gain some weight quickly I hope.

It is gorgeous weather wise and I think it's supposed to be all week.

Darbi's birthday is this week and Colt's is next week. Gotta check out Amazon.

I got my kid to school and stopped to shop. I put that away and then a neighbor came up and visited for awhile. Now I'm zoning until time to pick him up.

Junie, it seems that I wash clothes here everyday as well but with a bit of a schedule...every day DH's clothes needs to be washed, towels every second day, sheets twice a week, dish towels once a week and my clothes twice a week, GG's once a week.

I just took apart all the faucet spouts to clean them out(we get sand in our water in the spring)....and lost the rubber seal down the drain. I swear I just make more running for myself every time I try to help myself.

I have started to tackle DH's shed for spring garbage pickup day....how can one person save so much junk? It will take me a few days to get it back to the way I had it before Winter...that is if he doesn't try to put the garbage back in.

I hope it doesn't go back in, Sunny. I still have not organized John's main shed the way I want it. He's been gone almost seven years now.

John has bene gone almost 7 years now?? WOW it sure does not seem like that much time has gone by.

I can clean out things but most of the stuff I remove form an area seems to go right back in.
Take today as an example. Before I went to ceramics today I cleaned out 3 drawers in my bathroom. I got rid of stuff but ya know, the drawers do not look any emptier.

Internet keeps going down..I have no idea why--but oh well...

Yes, 7 years next month. Some of it feels like less time and some feels like more. It is an odd thing.
I have drawers all over that I need to clean up. They get messy fast.

back in the day I used to have a messy house but my drawers & cabinets were meticulous. Used to make my sister crazy. Now---the drawers & cabinets have gone by the way side so far as neatness goes. Oh well...

The way I see it, I only have so much energy to spend each day. It is less these days than when I was younger. You know, like 50? When I use it up, I am useless until I get sleep.
So things are messier these days.
That being said, I'm going to bed now. Sweet dreams all.

Junie, I started putting little baskets in a few of my drawers....it keeps 'like' things together without rolling around.

I woke up to water in the crawl space in the basement (DH set up the sump pump before leaving for work)...and surface water in my well. Guessing spring is really here.

Tina: I do hope that you get some sleep today. And yes it is good that Teddy is so agreeable to your change of plans. I went to the car wash on Monday, now all I need to do is vacuum the insides & that job is done for a bit..
I have been up since 5:15. I am tired already also.

Sunny. So glad that your DH thought to set up the sump pump before he left. That helped you I am sure.

Thanks for the idea of baskets. I saw wooden trays in Ikea when my sister & I went last week, and then here inexpensive, but I did not know the sizes of my drawers, so I did not buy any. The idea of baskets is a good one, thanks.

I think I need to go drink more coffee, so I can begin my day.

Well ladies guess I am really cheap.. I take boxes the right size for my drawer and cut them down to the right depth for the drawer..tape how ever many I need together and cover with contac paper to make cubbies for storing odds and ends... cereal boxes are good for this.. only drawer I use bought holders in is for silverware...
It must be the week for not sleeping well.. I woke up at 430 this morning... did go to Carrie's and finished up teaching.. we finished all of our stuff for the year... he has some math to do yet with his Dad and it will be done for the year. he is happy... me too...

I made a big batch of stew in the crockpot yesterday.. today took some and cut the meat and veg up smaller yet and thickened up the juice some ,stuck it in a pie shell,will bake it till it browns up and it will be dinner... I will be hitting my pillows early I think...Joe has another doc appt tomorrow and after we will go out for lunch with Nicoli to celebrate the end of school for him.

Well off to get dinner in the oven , already walked Milo... he is so happy now that most of our snow has melted finally..

We used Velveeta boxes as drawer dividers when I was a kid. But that is not an option anymore because I don't buy the stuff. It is full of things I won't feed my kids now. And the boxes are much wimpier.

Junie, the dollar stores sell contact paper....some of it is so pretty that it could make wallpaper. They use it here to line the backs of those cheap bookcases, it fancies them right up.

I went to the bank, took Teddy to school and went to the store. I came home and put that away and cooked up a big pot of goulash. Or what passes for it in my kitchen. I got my trash together to take to the dumpster.
I think I will make another stop before picking up the boy.

I got a new computer for my office, the old one was about 6 yrs old and getting so slow and shut itself off a few times , since it's the one I keep the bills and that kind of stuff on we decided it needed to be replaced,, got a new one with Windows 10 on it but so far so good.... insurance co decided we have to get hubby's scrips from the mail order service now or we pay full price for them... can't afford that , even for the only one he takes .. so got that set up today... should be easier now that it's on automatic refill... glad I don't have to do that with mine... at least not yet...

Nicoli and I finished up our lessons yesterday... he still has a few with his dad and mom and school will be over for him this year... we had out breakfast out this morning after hubby's appt... he is getting so much better he ate his whole breakfast , unusual for him to finish ... (knocking on wood here) he has gained height and weight in the last few months , a wonderful thing for a kid with CVS, he was undersize for his age for the last few yrs,, he is catching up now.... Nana is doing a happy dance, he can't wait till he too is taller than me... has about 6 inches to go.

Well off to see what else I can get done... our weather is wonderful today here, sun is out , snow is almost gone... Yay.. hopefully that was last snow for this year... can't plant yet but at least it looks like spring now...

Today Teddy is going to the Orange Show. That's like a county fair here. So that will be fun for him. I have to get him ready for that and pack extra in his lunch. The rest will be a regular Friday.

Teddy went to the Orange show today. He had a good time and ate all kinds of things that he normally won't touch. But not the lunch they fed him. No hot dogs or plain milk for my kid. I had packed him a lunch but the teacher didn't take it. He was one hungry dude when he got home and ate his packed lunch and a few other things. He rode on a carousel and kissed a goat. It was a good Teddy day.

I am so glad that Teddy had a good time, new experiences for him must be a joy. Just as long as he doesn't decide he wants a goat for a pet now.

I have another b-day party today to take GG to...I need to get groceries as well so it all works out, the party is just a 3 minute drive from the store.
