It is such fun.

Tina---have fun tomorrow..and I do not think you make extra trips out. It seems to me that you stop for Bread & such when yiou are out taking teddy to of from school.

Good morning. Happy Wednesday. It must be spring because I itch. I don't have major allergies but small, annoying ones. I have lots to do and don't know how much will get done. But I'm great at making plans!
I hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning.

We have a baby girl calf added to our family...I'll get a pic later when we leave her out of the barn. The mom is black Angus and we were told that the dad was a red Angus....well baby was born a light beige color. I am guessing Momma 'jumped the fence', so to say lol

Yesterday I managed to get the siding on the house washed...was it ever dirty. I'd never go with white siding again if I had the chance to choose. Today I have already made molasses drop cookies and have a spaghetti sauce simmering on the stove. I need to go to town later to run errands and visit the Grands.

I am hoping you all have a productive day as well...it is amazing how much energy I have when the sun shines. grin

A buff color is a good color for a calf. I am happy for you. Is the mamma a good mother? I bet your grands are eager to see it.
I am up to my eyebrows in neglected laundry.

Good night all. I did a passel of laundry today. It feels good to have that done. But I tired myself out.
Sweet dreams all.

Good morning.
I am up early this morning. But that is ok. I have some stuff to do today. Including the inevitable shopping.
I hope everyone a good day.

Good Morning. I did not come back in last night. It was storming here, so I had my computer turned off & unplugged.

It is damp & overcast today but so far no more storms. I ended up doing a number of smaller chores yesterday. But, hey, they are done now...You are right, Tina, it does feel good to get things done.

I need to go to the grocery this morning. Then I may just go see my sister.

I went to the grocers this morning as well. I only needed yogurt and bread but ended up with more. I've put that away and munched on some grapes. On to the next thing.

Hi all,

I know I haven't been around lately... we got some really bad news Mon. my niece passed away very suddenly, she was only 44, same age as my son... she was born with only one functioning kidney and lately hadn't felt well...turned out she had pneumonia, doc put her in hospital ,was to much for her system.. and she passed.. she was married and has 2 daughters.. they live in Az, so as they plan a Celebration of Life for the weekend after next.. so we are going down next Thurs.. I think the whole family is in shock...we are not intended to outlive our children... Carrie wants to go down too but she can't get time off...my son is going to fly down... oldest dd wil be here for her step daughters graduation so she can't go down either.. it's a shame they can't ,they all grew up together... just so sad for her girls and husband... we will go see hubby's Mom too while we are in Az and my sons granddaughter too .. we have been told she isn't doing very well so as she is 98 we need to see her too...

Well I am going to go put a pizza in the oven and call it dinner... have a good evening all...

Nana

I'm so sorry, Nana. It is so hard to outlive the next generation. And so hard with such a young mother. My thoughts are with you all.

I'm not ready for summer yet. It was mighty hot here today. But it's supposed to get better before it gets worse. So I'm not running coolers yet.
Ted's prom is tomorrow. Most Fridays they have a dance and tomorrow it will be the same except they want the graduates to dress up. I told Ted's teacher that if he has to dress, I'll just keep him home. He is not happy in clothes. It's more important that he's happy than dressed up.
That being said, I need to buy him some dressier clothes than his everyday sweats and tees. Like a pair of slacks and a button down shirt. In case we ever get invited to an affair where sweats just won't do. To be worn very rarely. He is so picky.

Nana: Such bad news you got. I am, so sorry for the whole family. That is indeed a bad situation. I am glad that so many of you will be able to be there for the family left behind. I know that will help them.

Tina: I hope that you work out the clothing situation for Teddy. He should have fond memories of his time at school after all.

I am way tired, and I need to go to sleep very soon.

So, I will say goodnight now---nite-nite...& Sweet Dreams.

Good morning.

I am so sorry for your loss Nana kissie

Tina, would Teddy wear the clothes if he really needed to? I agree with his comfort being put first...you are a good Momma.

I had a bad day yesterday...I had a cow in labor and despite all our efforts she lost her baby upon birth. I know it's a usual circumstance when farming but it is so hard emotionally. That being said I'll post the pic of the baby girl that was born 3 days ago.

So sorry you had a rough day yesterday, Sunny. I wondered.

Thanks for the photo. Such a cute little calf. That has to brighten your day to look at it, right??

Yes, Tina, I agree, you are a good Momma. VERY good.

I am soon off to look for some 11 x 14 frames. Wish me luck.

Good morning. I ended up awake a lot of the night and slept in. So Ted will miss his prom. That is not a problem. Someone else can be prom king. He doesn't like wearing things on his head anyway.
I will need to go out at some point today though. And I have plenty to keep me busy in general.
I am sorry about the calf that didn't make it. That is hard. The one that is with you is a real beauty queen though.

Sorry Ted missed his Prom, but I bet he is OK with that.

I looked & looked and did not find my frames. BUT my sister & I did learn that one can spray paint photo matts to be any color that we want---so yay for that.

I did my grocery shopping and picked up a few items for my Daughter & her girls.

Just out of the bath now---I think I may watch some TV. why

Good morning.

Junie, I could not find 11 by 14 frames here before either...it seems that 10 by 13 is the new standard. I had to cut two of GG pics to fit.

I spent the day shingling and it is slowly coming along....even more slowly with GG's help lol

We ended up searching and finding a new born dairy bull for the momma that lost her calf. Dairy bulls are not kept on the local farms so they are sold to be raised for ground beef. It was so funny, the poor thing was only an hour old and taking his first drive home in the back seat of DH's truck. It will take about three days for her to accept him, we tie her and force her to nurse him...then he will slowly take on her scent and she will accept him as her own. We've did it twice before.

Hoping today brings a restful day for you Tina. We are having three days of rain so inside I will be.

Good Morning.

So glad that you found a calf for the poor Momma who lost her calf. Also glad that you will be able to help her accept the new baby.

Now both will be happy.

You also enjoy a restful time indoors, Sunny.

Today we will go visit with my MIL. She was ill last weekend when we had planned to help her celebrate her Birthday and Mother's Day. We will celebrate both today.

Very windy & much cooler today. egad A cold front has moved in. I guess this year will be like others have been. One day we will have the furnace on & wear jackets & the next the A/C will have to be turned on and we will be hunting for summer clothing to wear. why Crazy area.

Good morning. Today my plans are easy and simple. That should be restful enough.
I wish you well with the new calves, Sunny. I have never raised any animals for food. It would be difficult not to make everything a beloved pet. But I could if I had to.

Good evening all.

It has been a long day being 'rained in'...but GG and DH went to town and GG made him buy tomato and pepper plants so that's another thing crossed off my list and I didn't have to leave the house lol

Not only did you NOT have to leave the house, and yet you still got plants, you got to be in a quiet house...a win win win.

sorry Nana. That's so sad.

Sunny, I didn't know you had cows. Sorry one died but the other one sure is cute.

Tina, Colt has a hard time wearing certain clothes. He can't stand the way they feel on his skin. Ginger used to try and make him wear things he couldn't stand sometimes and I pitched so many fits about it she doesn't anymore. It's just not worth it.

Yes, Ted likes T-shirts for instance but not when they have pockets. Nor graphics. The same with pants or slacks. That makes it hard to dress him, or easy depending on where he's going.
I am much like him as well. Things bother my skin a lot.
Sweet dreams all. I didn't do half of what I set out to do today. But I'm good with what is done. So I'll sleep well tonight.

Good morning.

I have a nephew with sensory issues as well(Autism)....dressing him is a nightmare. No buttons, collars or snaps allowed. It has to be soft cotton and very loose fitting.

It is still raining...so another day indoors is ahead.

This coffeehouse is filled up grin
