Good morning. I have a nephew with sensory issues as well(Autism)....dressing him is a nightmare. No buttons, collars or snaps allowed. It has to be soft cotton and very loose fitting. It is still raining...so another day indoors is ahead. This coffeehouse is filled up  Yes, this is much like I have to deal with. Except Teddy is not a child. He is a full grown man. I don't take him to weddings and funerals because it stresses him to be dressed appropriately. And here is the new coffee house ready for a new week. Good morning. Today is a getting ready for the week ahead day. So clean bedding, clean bodies and lunches ready to be packed, etc. I really want to fix my one sliding door. It is off the track and driving me nuts. So that is what is on my agenda today.

Hello !! I am finally here !!  I weeded and planted the last of what I have bought so far today. "Another job done", as the saying goes. Now I too must concentrate on the house. I need to wash the dishes, Rod lunch bucket, ^ then I also have bedding to wash. I may just do those 2 items & then make supper & call it a day (of work I mean). TTYAL

I've been messing with a fox on my roof. I really don't want them up there. But I don't mind them around so much. Less of the smaller critters to fend off.
My day is about over. Clean bedding is done and Teddy's had his bath and dinner. He'll snack on something the rest of the day.
I still need to get my shower but it's all good.

I just got in from cleaning out my shed.....it was being taken over with toys and junk. It feels good to get that task completed. The rain hasn't stopped so I'll spend the rest of the afternoon indoors.

Well, I took Teddy to school and stopped at a store. Then I went to a bank and to another store but they changed their hours and wouldn't open til later. I swung into my gas station. I came home and put my groceries away and made a pot of goulash. And I ate some. In a few minutes I'll go out again and stop at that store that wasn't open and then pick up Teddy.
I might just take a nap after.

I lost my Black Butt tonight. He wasn't feeling well the last couple of days and I knew it was coming. It was peaceful and comfortable so I'm good with that.
Jonni and I buried him already. He is buried deep in a hole with his blanket and a sleeping pad. There is room above him to plant something over him.

OH MY Tina. I am sorry for your loss. And yes, I consider losing a pet a loss. They are after all a part of the family.
I am glad that he is buried deep and that there is room to plant something nice above him.
Today I took my Mom to her eye Drs. appt. Then we went to a dollar store and then to a Walgreens.
I guess I am going to have to buy the size frames I want on e-bay. They have them at least.

Good morning. I am concentrating on the good things about the dog's life and death. And I had plenty of time to say goodbye.

I am finally in. I got up today, went straight to ceramics & then lunch. Then I went to my sister's with some Shower game gifts.
Then to the grocery...
hey !!! I won $101.11 in groceries for free. The store I frequent has a "win what you spend" game each week. I won in last weeks drawing. YAY Carol !!
Then to my MOM's & then home.
Tomorrow I will go to another Drs. appt. (another check up)

Good morning. Well, Jonni's cat misses the dog a lot. They were friendly but not cuddly so. But the cat spends a lot of time looking for him now. That is sad.
Today I will get some bags of bedding soil so that will be a fun trip.

Yes, it is for Valarie. My Mom first wanted her to have one, so when my sister's relatives began asking what they could get for Valarie's Girls, my sister thought to throw her a shower.

I got a call at 8 a.m. this morning.."Grammie, I missed the bus, tell Grampie he can come up and get me early" and he did. GG and I were just outside putting mulch down and I disturbed a yellow jacket nest in the ground in my flower bed...needless to say that we are now inside waiting for the hundred of them to settle down so I can make a homemade trap. I swear it never ends some days.

Luckily we have no stings. I made a homemade wasp trap out of a water bottle. I'll have to get some wasp powder insecticide though...I can't take any chances with GG playing in the yard. We got all our mulch spread and GG and I cut our seed potatoes for planting tomorrow

gosh Sunny that's scary. Glad they didn't get you.
Colby has gained 9 of the 26 pounds he lost and is progressing slowly. He still doesn't have a bit of stamina, can't walk from here to there without being wiped out, and still drags that leg. He's going to therapy 3 times a week so hopefully ....

Sheri: therapy is a wonderful thing, esp. if one does the work the therapist ask you to do. (but then you know that) Colby is young, so I think give him time & eventually he will be fine. .......Slow & steady wins the race after all. Going to bed soon G'nite all

Good morning. It sounds like the shower was a success Today will be another outdoor day....my back step needs to be sanded. Winter weather is hard on exterior stain on decks and steps. I also need to cut some finishing trim for the edges of the cedar shingles. I just use cheap strapping and run it through the table saw...saves a bundle.

...It was a grand party. and I got to "see" my Daughter if only on Skype.
Today we have already cleaned church, and did an extra good job. WE will be done cleaning church after next Sunday--so we thought to do an extra good job this week. After I rest I am going out and water some of my plants & see if I can do some weeding as well.
The good news is it is around 80*F and the sun is shining here.

Thanks, Tina. It was a great time. Clean bedding---sounds good. I put clean bedding on my bed on Friday. I wish it was there tonight..I LOVE the feel of clean, fresh sheets. Enjoy my friend. I did laundry tonight so I would mot have to do it tomorrow. and I washed my hummingbird feeders. Then I soaked them in bleach-water for an hour. They are not draining so I can fill them tomorrow. I know it is late, but what with the storms, I have not put them up yet...sad news is after tomorrow it may well rain again this week. Good morning. I am up a bit early but that's OK. It gives me more time to get ready for the day. I'm slower moving than I used to be.
It'll be a regular day around here. Teddy to school and stop to shop on the way home. Then clean and cook until it's time to pick up my boy again.

Sorry for your "T's" Tina----I think your posts looked perfect.
Yes, Sunny, go out & cut the green part of the dandelions off with say 1/4 of the root still attached. (young greens with small roots are best.) wash well and dress with your favorite vinegar & oil dressing. Mom also added a hard boiled egg that she chopped up to the dressing. makes a great salad. and it is free if you do not count the dressing.
Tina, have you ever wilted the greens. I cannot remember if we wilted dandelion greens or not.

They can be cooked, Carol. Also used for tea and medicinal uses.
I'm home for the night I am not going anywhere this evening. Bernie Sanders is coming to town to talk and I won't get caught in the traffic quagmire that will bring. It was already visible in the traffic today. A lot of people coming to town to see him.
My town, San Bernardino, has the dubious honor of being the most dangerous city in California. I drive by a city park on my way to school everyday. It is slowly being taken up by more and more tents with homeless. I am not sure why that is being allowed. But it is. When Teddy finishes with school, June 30th, I don't think I'll be traveling in that direction often.

I do not blame you for not going out, Tina. I can just imagine the traffic problems. About the homeless. I wonder if they are letting it go until something bad happens. and if nothing bad happens, well then good for the homeless ??? We just went to a few cemeteries and put out flowers, for Rod's Grandparents, & 2 Uncles at one cemerary and then to his father, my father, & both of our grandparents at another.

I nice way to spend your day, Carol.
The thing with the park is odd. It is not carboard boxes and things. They are relatively nice tents. But it makes sense to let them stay there where there are toilets and things. And maybe kids but I have not seen any. San Bernardino is still restructuring after bankruptcy. It is in a sad state.

Getting older really does suck, Sunny. Great on getting a visit from you growing family, Carol. I am excited for you. Good morning. I didn't do Home Depot today. I stopped by the grocers first and got a good deal on grass fed ground beef. So I brought that home to keep it cold and began cooking. I have ground beef stroganoff in the crockpot. That'll last us a couple of days.

LOL..not to worry Tina, you are far from alone. I wanted a nap at 10am. I wish now, I had of taken one.
We do not eat much beef. But it is more b/c my husband prefers pork & chicken. NOT that I hardly EVER buy expensive cuts such a steaks anyway.
we had early morning storms.
I woke just in time to bring al of th stuff in that I needed to.
Now I must put part of it back out. The first half is aready back out.
I am back now to cleaning house. I wish I could find my small fan.

I found my small fan----plugged it right in and it does not work---it looks brand new and worked great last year.
It is one of those small 6 inch metal fans. I am hoping to fine a new one soon. My DH is not a person who likes the A/C, so it will be sometime in June before I can convince him to turn it on.

Sorry about the fan...guessing a trip to Walmart is in your future. I need to get a fan myself, one that is on a pole that swivels preferably.
I picked up GG then ran a few errands and went grocery shopping. It is raining at the moment and for the next few days. It is going to be a long weekend I think.

we had a large high velocity fan that could be on a stand back at the farm. We never used the stand, and then the fan died...
Yes, I think a trip to Wal-mart IS in my future.....

GG spent an hour outside last night with a dandelion tool, the kind you step on and turn then it picks up the weed when you lift it. She said it was so much fun. When is your family coming, Carol?.
I got my car in for an oil change and walked to 3 stores while it was being done. I finally found the grad party plates and things at the third store. Teddy's class is having a spaghetti lunch for the three grads and their families. That was delivered to the class when I picked him up early. It was a good day.
I tried to nap. Now we have a three day weekend to get ready for that lunch on Tuesday.

My youngest and her DH & 2 sons are in IL as I type. I assume they are staying at her friends house which is about 25-ish miles from my home. I learned that the friend 7 her DH are watching the boys tonight so that Emily & Chris can go out for their Anniversary...Now, I KNOW they are out alone b/c she told me in a PM on facebook. IF they are staying there when they get back form the Dinner out, I am not sure.
Tomorrow they will be spending with Chris's Mom & Stepfather. Then after supper they will come here. I can only assume in time to put the boys to bed....Then they wake, eat breakfast here & then go off to visit My Mom, Chris's grandmother and Rod's Grandmother.
Then they will eat lunch & come back here so the boys can nap. They will be heading back to their home around 5:30 my time on Sunday.
Rod is off on Monday for the holiday & then he has a Drs. appt. on Tuesday (check-up)
I will finish my cleaning in the AM & then clean myself up & wait to see the boys...

Tina, congrats on Teddy's graduation. I wonder though if he will miss his classes? Teddy is graduating this week but he will continue with the summer session until the end of June. After that his sister will take him out a couple days a week for some respite care. And he will be going out with me more often. He will be going on those shopping trips I take while he is at school. We all have some adjusting to do.
I am going to clean a bit today. And do some laundry. That is my plan this early Saturday morning. But first, coffee.

Hi all, It has been a long week, got home and after we rested up ,started cleaning and doing laundry.. had boys here too... school is out.. boys all did well... Hubby has been doing yard work too, the iris are blooming like crazy-most blooms we have had in years.. lilac too... roses have buds too.. finally spring here..still snowing in the mountains.. crazy...it rained a lot while we were gone.. grass was almost a foot high... yard really looks nice now. I put chicken in the crockpot for dinner.. will make a stir fry with noodles with it... Well off to chop the veggies... have a good evening all.. Nana

WELL.. I have had an afternoon. I was just replacing the clean rugs in the living room & the phone rang---Em & her DH decided to change cell phone carriers..so Rod & I met them at a T-Mobil store. it seems that we all 4 have smart phones and Chris says his bill will still be less than his new "plan" they were being forced into by AT&T.
so Chris, & Rod & I got new phones. Rod & mine is the same & some brand I have never heard of but it has windows 10 & I am used to that.
WE finaly left & Chris's phone was still not ready. he was getting a phone that isjust exactly what he had previously but he wanted all of his contacts, phontos & such transferred. We were there 2 hrs & 15 minutes, I do not know how long they were there. Em felt sorry for us & told us to go ahead & go home.
I hope we have coverage around here with the new carrier...

DD called yesterday at lunch and asked me to watch the baby for awhile, then called again to ask if he could stay the night, then was supposed to come this morning for the two of them and just called and asked me to keep them until supper. I had a bear visitor this morning. I got some pictures but cannot get into photobucket to put them there and share them. It was fun!

SIL found out that we have no service with T-Mobil in Staunton ..called & "talked" with them for hours in the end, we gave back our new phones--(no restocking fee) and we got back with AT&T and all is as it was with our old phones---- I have no idea what we will do for supper....

Carol, so did you get a new phone but the same as the old? We have Verizon service and like it.
Sunny, Colt was with me this week so Ginger and Chris could go to a ball tournament in "peace." My mother took care of Shelley one weekend out of her life and Ginger never stayed with her. I think I take care of my grand children a lot. Sometimes I'm ok with it sometimes I'm not.

No, Sheri--it went like this: At first my SIL wanted to change carriers (he/we were with AT&T and they were gouging him he thought) so he thought to try signing up with T-Mobil.
My DD kept her iPhone as she is due to get a new one in October. My SIL: got a new $700.00 phone, but then he uses his a lot for work.
Rod & I went with the cheaper smart phones--an off brand with windows 10.
Well, my SIL found out we had no coverage in Staunton (a town we are in a LOT) and so he wondered about other areas and IF they would have coverage at home in Virginia. As I said he uses his phone for work & my DD has no home phone & 2 small boys. So the service HAD to be especially reliable.
So they got out of the T-Mobil thing & went back to AT&T. Rod & I got back our original phones. with some updates, but nothing drastic....So, now, no smart phone for Carol.
I like AT&T..but it is costing Chris a lot of money for his and my daughter's phone services. Rod & mine is not costly at all.

Good morning !! Glad to hear that you slept well, Tina. I slept 10 hours last night !! I guess short people wear me out. I just emptied the dishwasher. Aside from making some sides for the evening meal, I think I am done working today. We have nothing planned (we already went to the cemeteries last week, as Emily would be home over the weekend) so I guess all we will be doing is cooking out. It is a sunny beautiful day. So at least that is good !! I wish everyone a Wonderful & Safe Memorial Day!!

still tired..going to bed extra early tonight.
I will sleep well though. My baby daughter just messaged me saying that they just got home safe sound.
I hopefully will be able to sleep well tonight.

I am tired too. It has been a day and it;s going to be an eventful week.
Sweet dreams all. I have nearly fallen asleep several times sitting right here. But I tend to want to fall over and wake myself up suddenly. But I can get ready to go now.
