Here is a new CH--all ready for our chatting pleasure.

Off topic here.....but the teacher at GG's school told me that our province issued a new law that unsealed all sealed adoptions in our province on April 1st. She said that all adopted persons just had to file paperwork to get full disclosure of their files. People were to start getting the documents as of today in the mail. Can you just imagine the emotions for all involved?

Oh dear Sunny. Everything else in the world is all about privacy so this is surprising.

Since I really like my blue door Mr. Rape painted yesterday, I'm going to paint the other doors and the shutters. The other house trim is white so I think it will look ok.

It is spring here. I hope it stays spring for a while and doesn"t go directly to summer. Johnny cleaned out his van today so I have 20 loads of laundry to do.

Sheri: LOL 20 loads...that is funny--I think I would "teach" Johnny how to use my washing/drying machines.

Went to church this morning now I"m at the church house while Johnny goes out to eat. I"m not a big fan of eating out to begin with and definitely not with a crowd when 20 people try to cram into booth made for 6. I"d rather take a nap.

I think Sunny will need a nap tomorrow 😴

Good morning. See, I LOVE to eat out--not for the food so much but for the notion that I sit down, order my food, eat it & then get up & walk away. LOVE the walking away part. I so wish I could teach my DH to completely clean up after a meal. I asked him to do that & what does he do?? he stacks the dishes off of the bar to the sink area, puts his bread & butter away & he is done. He sees nothing else.....

I have no idea what today's agenda is.

Afternoon ,

I know I have been missing lately, our trip to Colo was fun and enjoyed seeing kids... the trip home was fun till Tahoe decided to just stop running, Joe managed to get us off the road and safe on the side, we have triple A and we called ,we were about 50 miles from next town in NM.. really nice tow truck driver came and took us into town, took us to hotel and got our luggage off car and Milo and his cage, we rented a hotel room, Joe got us settled, went with driver to take car to shop which of course was closed, was Sun.. we called Mon morning and made arrangements for repairs, they said it might take more than a day so arranged longer stay with hotel, if needed, they even took hubby to get us food in their personal cars.. they had soup available every evening which was really nice.. better than fast food all the time, we ended up getting car done in one day so we were able to get on road quicker,, we got home later that day, and I promptly got sick with a really bad cold, spent the next few days resting and feeling generally like I died a week ago, but finally got better , still have little energy now but feel better, now hubby is having a major allergy attack, the wind was blowing for a couple and set him off , we are making a really good pair at the moment... !
Well I am off to finish the laundry, was almost out of clean clothes so good thing I had some energy today, taken me all day to do it but it's done...we will have clean clothes for awhile now.
Will be back as I can... takes me awhile to get anything done but will return..

Grandboy has gone home. He asked to take his sister with him...what a screwed up situation for him to understand. I wish my grands had a father and a normal mother.

Nice to "see" you Nana. Glad you were able to get the Tahoe fixed so easily, and that you were taken care of so well. Glad you are home and are feeling better.

Junie funny you should mention that about cleaning up after eating. Just today Ginger told me that Chris will take his dishes to the sink and leave them. She said she's going to not load the dishwasher for several days and see if he notices when there are no clean glasses.

Nana it's nice to know there are still caring, helpful people out there somewhere.

Sunny the grands are lucky that they have you to love them. I may have mentioned this before because it always bothered me because this little girl ended up in the health room with a stomach ache every time it happened. Her 24 year old mother had 6 daughters with 6 different men. All the children lived with mom and were at the elementary school where I worked. 5 of the dads were pursuing child custody and would show up at the PTO meetings, teacher conferences, field day, and other school activities where the 6th little girl would see them. Worst of all was the days the dads would show up for lunch with their daughters but her dad never showed up for anything. Whenever I saw one of the dads signing in the office for lunch I knew the 6th girl would soon show up with a stomach ache. I always wanted one of the other dads to take an interest in this little girl but they never did. They all disliked mom and she disliked them. Was sad.

Sheri: Well, see, he had asked me what he could do around the house to "pull his weight" now that he was retired. well I asked him to vacuum & he did not--I asked him to wash dishes & he did but he complained all the while..

so I said I hate to clean up after supper so would you do that...and he does--sorta--he just stacks the dishes puts away what only he used such as bread & butter, and then dry wipes the bar where we eat. So now you know.

Tell Ginger it does not get any better..we have lived in this house for almost 14 years.....and Rod still does not know where most of the dishes are kept.
I am however fairly certain he knows I have a dishwasher..........

It is 30*F outside...so the coverings will stay on my bush for awhile.

Tina I got 7 hours of sleep. Better than 4 or 5. It Is Snowing Right Now...can you believe it ?
I Am Beginning to think I am right when I was joking about going from winter to summer, and skipping over spring.....if this keeps up we will have to.

Going out to lunch with Emily's MIL. She was out visiting Emily & family for Easter, and Emily gave her Henry 's Birthday gift. And she has not wrapped it. My sister did the same. Good thing I keep extra wrapping paper and cards on hand.

Junie that's great about getting 7 hours. Was that without waking at all? Funny about Rod. Johnny says he doesn't do stuff because I just redo it because he can't do it to suit me. I have to admit that is true. I prefer that he not do washing because for some reason this college educated, finely skilled, can fix the smallest plumbing pipe in the tightest of places, can't get the laundry detergent from the container into the machine without spilling it. So if the truth is told I'd really rather do it myself. I suspect Ginger is the same. :) When is Henry's birthday?

Tina if I had known you were doing laundry yesterday I would have sent you some of Johnny's van clothes. I've done 2 loads and will continue today.

Our area had some severe weather yesterday with tornados. Shelley said they were prepared to go to the safe area in their home and had already taken their phones and chargers into the room because it sounded for sure like a tornado was in their yard. Said it lasted 20 minutes. We were at the church house in Charlotte and people all around us had power outages and limbs down but we didn't. This morning at home our screened porch is soaked and my wind chimes are all over the yard. It's still extremely windy. Shelley told me this morning it's been windy every day for the last 10 days - that's when the ball games started so she's noticed. The rain is good for the squash bales. High today is 56°.

Henry's Birthday is April 20th. He was born on Easter Sunday.
The party this year will be on the 21st. We will go down & spend the weekend.

The laundry I am doing is to clear the machines for winter blankets and winter wear for storing. The job gets bigger every year.

Yes I remember her as little girl......I advise you put a brick on Colt's head & lock him in a closet. Heck. Throw Darbi In the closet with him These kids need to stop growing so fast.

I had company yesterday. Then I had to clean and mop so it was a busy day.

We are having an ice storm since 3 a.m. School is closed again...it is a mess out there, at least it's not snow.

I keep losing power.

I got a nice treat today. DH has a co-worker whom has a friend that digs and sells clams. DH dropped off a gallon at lunch time. Chowder made with clams dug this time of year are a delicacy...so sweet. I used to dig as a child with my Uncle. It takes a boat to go to the Island to get them...and apparently now a 'clam digging license. Times sure have changed.

Either way, they are steaming on the stove and my mouth is watering

I've never tasted a clam. Would try fresh ones though. I'm amazed the water isn't frozen over with all the cold weather you've had Sunny. Will the students have to go to school all summer?

Well here I am. Drinking coffee. Today's fun will be taking Rod's truck in to get fixed. Air bag sensor is messed up.

My husband has an air bag sensor/or air bag problem as well. It will have to be fixed soon...I am not wanting to know the cost.

Sheri, the clams are dug at an island...the salt water never freezes at the base...so when the tides go out it leaves the ground open for digging. The chowder was delicious.

We lost power back and forth all day and night. I am glad the storm is done.

Sunny, I will let you know what our cost is...We do not want to know either. There is one other issue also. Gracious, it is always something.

Glad to see dodge has returned. We're a fun group.

Our internet went out for a few hours this morning.

Every day I ask Colt to find out an amazing fact. Yesterday he told me that girl bees do all the work and the boy bees are lazy and that the Queen bee is lazy too and doesn't wear a crown.

No recall on our air bag....just a check airbag warning. DH ran a 'coder' on it at a local garage and they couldn't figure it out. They told him to go to the dealer. $$$$

I am trying to find chicks or hens locally. GG wants to raise a few chickens. The one lady that answered my ad is crazy...she wants $10 a piece for day old chicks. Jeepers, what if they are all males?

We just got a call. The repair for the sensor is a bit over $200.00 and we continue if that includes the labor. (DH did not ask) thing is, none of the other air bags will work now until this sensor is fixed. So Sunny, this is your heads up.

Today Colt's fact is that hummingbirds don't have a sense of smell. School is so much more fun than when I was little.

Gosh hate that for both of you about the airbags.

I'd like to have chickens too but I don't want the extra work. Aubry and I went to Southern States the other day and they had chicks from $2.49 to $2.79. My sister in West Virginia, who does raise chickens, recently got a bunch for 50¢ a chick.

It was in the 80's yesterday, supposed to be 71° today, in the 60's the rest of the wind. It's the wind. The wind has been relentless for weeks. All this hasn't seemed to bother the hummingbirds. They're here in full force. Changing their food today.

I planted some petunias and changed 2 of the hummingbird feeders but it's so windy that's all I can do out there. Tonight I'm going to a garden walk presented by the Master Gardeners Club.

Still getting over creeping crud... so tired of feeling like "yuck" been getting stuff done very slowly... did go out for the first time since we got back from Colo.. went to Wally world ... found some pants for myself, and a whole cart of stuff we "needed" always fun to spend money,

It's been windy here too , every day it blows , they say this is the windiest month here,, guess they meant it... hubby's allergies have started for him too, but he feels better today.. it's been really nice here besides the wind,,,82 today...

Well got to go start dinner, hubby is bbqing carne asada,, I bought some fresh mushooms to go with , so better go get them cooked up... have a good evening all..

It was a great tour. Do you have an agricultural center Junie? It was at the Ag Center Learning Garden that the Master Gardeners plant and keep up. The wind was killer though. I got free milkweed seeds and lima bean seeds.

We do have some kind of Home extension in a town close to me, and I once found they were having a walk about for Blackberry care & I went to participate in it--it was well worth the time--but as I do not get the News Paper from the town in is in I never get to know what is going on any longer.

Junie, I follow the Master Gardeners here on FB. They post classes and a calendar. Maybe you can do that. I know you'd enjoy it. Only thing was the wind was so strong we were freezing and had a hard time hearing the tour director. She finally got a megaphone but with the wind it was still hard.

Tina you must have been busy or having a good time or both to forget about us :)

We went to Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens today. Was a disappointment. She said the winter has been hard on the garden and boy is she right plus it"s full of weeds.

Ate dinner out and had delicious halibut so all was not lost.

We looked at a house, apparently it needs too much work b/c of lack of maintanance.

The birthdays is over, Henry had a nice time. It also was a beautiful day ! Perhaps spring/ summer will come after all.

We are tired.

Tomorrow is 3 more houses. One is more money than we eat willing to go. I. Suppose I will find something some day.
