My grands are home. The girls will be staying here all next week. Their mom has school, they do not Their brother is not happy...he DOES have school. Apparently

I did not make my cheesecake. My SIL wanted Rod over to help him with a project then postponed the project as he is putting in his garden. Hopefully we will be going over sooner rather than later..I will make the cheesecake then.
I have cookies and fruit for next week.

Good morning. We have an appointment then we go to pick the girls up from school and bring them here. I have to ask though..who has kids go to school for an hour ? I will have to.ask her about that.

Well, the same kids who take a half an hour to dress for 15 minutes of snow play, of course. And then another half hour to undress and add in extra time to lay out the gear for drying. It's pretty much the same as summers at the beach or pool or... You go with the flow.

Yes Tina, the storms have stopped but I am still up to my ears in snow. We are supposed to have a few milder days later this week, it will be a welcome sight.
Junie, are the girls only going to school for one hour a day?

I do not miss getting littles ready for playing in the snow..and all that goes with that.
No Sunny, the girls had testing for kindergarten placement. Sad part was, their mom was one of the testers.

They were 5 on February 22 nd. They are in Pre School. Can you believe it ???Because I cannot.

They got to go to pre school for free at their mom's school. So that preschool had kindergarten screening yesterday. I think I have a cold. That is what being.around short people will do for you. But oh well.

Thank you, Tina. I spoke to Valarie this morning. Apparently Henry shared with me..he had this same thing. She said she took his temp.. every day for a week (about how long it lasted) he did not ever run a fever.

It is a cold, Tina..that or allergies..I thought that with a cold I would have a fever....but they have new strains all the time I guess...or a new virus possibly ??
About the weather..I think There are thunderstorms forecast this weekend. I will watch the news and see what "they" say...

Looks to me like there will be storms Thursday, then there is rain until around next Tuesday....and I need a few Easter items...hopefully the rain will subside so I can get it done.

They just announced a Covid outbreak in a nursing home out West where everyone had been vaccinated two months ago.
I have been busy doing taxes for family, I am soon going to start charging for it....it is getting out of hand.

I had stopped doing ALOT of them, especially since there is a volunteer tax dept. to do them for the low income earners in our area.....but of course Covid put an end to that last year and this year. As family comes to pick them up this year, I am telling them that Covid or not.....I am not doing it at all next year.
I'll still have to do ours, my mother and DD's though.

No, first they went home at night, but I was just to keep them during the day for 4 days.
They were off school for all week, but mom is off school today. So they can all stay home. Well except for Henry. Poor Henry has had school all week.
I do feel worse today. So glad that I do not have the kids today.

Good morning. Poor Henry. I generally liked elementary school. I think they skip through subjects too quickly for some kids.
Cold and a bit wet. I would take the cold if they would attach much more wet. We need the rain.

Tina. Henry is so bright he tends not to pay attention at school when he finds out he knows what the teacher is talking about. That will not end well one day, I am afraid.
Sadly he has a cousin in the same boat on the east coast.

A good teacher can keep a bright kid engaged. I used to read encyclopedias when I got bored in summer. Or dictionaries. Whatever was around the house on 110+ degree days and going outside was not a good option. I butted heads with a few teachers too. But there were good ones also. So it worked out well in the end.

I would shut up the house, open the window in my bedroom, and read one of the Encyclopedia books..
That and magazines.
My GS on the East coast was put in a gifted program in his public school. You know what that means ? He is ignored and reads most of the day.
When his parents asked about this, they were told, oh "so and so" is taking care of his classes...only said person was not.. Thankfully he is has had to be home during Covid, and his mom is teaching him
