Sitting here watching the world series. I'd love to be in that stadium right now. Ginger waited too long to check on tickets and the standing room only tickets were $1500.00. I don't think so.
I still feel like I'm living in a whirlwind and it's a terrible feeling. I feel like I'm just biding time without being productive at all. I can not get motivated to do anything.

I know that Barb is fine, as is Lynne. Cindy is doing better than she was health wise. She posts once in awhile in FB. I have no clue about Diane.

Yea, as far as I remember, she had a hard time logging onto AGH or staying on, I don't remember which.

I too love the thought of Turkey. I must find out how to order a small one. Gone are the days of telling my brother what I wanted and him ordering it.

I got a few texts from dodge today. She tried to sign on here and couldn't. Said Junie tried to help her sometime or other. Not sure what her issue is but I wish she could make it work. it Me too. I even spoke to James about it. I am wondering if she could make it.work if she logged in as a new person. But then I guess her device would still be recognized. Oh well it was just a thought. Sunny, I believe school bus drivers, teacher aides and janitorial personnel need to receive hazard pay for times like these at the least. So many jobs have not kept up with the cost of living.

So true Tina, they have been without a contract for 5 years and are receiving the lowest wages of all civil servants.....yet our MP's and Premier get a 2% wage increase every year. In my opinion, they are all government jobs and should be treated all the same. Junie, has Dodge ever tried to sign up as a new member? It might just work.  Well, today I must tackle that Fall to do list with every bit of energy I have, it is calling for heavy rain tomorrow then freezing weather after that.

I will speak to Dodge about that next time she sends me an email, Sunny. The weather lady said we may get a light freeze the end of next.week. I guess it is time to put my lilac bush/pot in the garage for the winter.

Sunny and cool here. In the low 60's now. Sure to get colder here as the sun goes down.
I am outside as trick or treating may begin at 5 pm. If it gets much colder I may well go inside and hand out treats as usual.

I sat outside until what candy I had was gone..then I came in and arranged for my DD and her SIL to drop by. I made their kids special Halloween bags.
( I dont think I have ever ran out of candy before..)

We were in a lock down but I still got 17 children. I just made treat bags and set them out on the step...GG kept an eye through the window to make sure they took only one. It was sad though because she wanted to go trick or treating as well but she understood the 'lock down' situation....some parents did not care.

Yep, no trades...we don't have the foot traffic we used to have.
Way back in the day I tried to start a Christmas card exchange list but there was no interest.

Well, no matter what season it is....it seems there is always something to take up our time. I just got done putting in an order at our local pharmacy. I am so thankful that they are still allowing us to shop over the phone....everything from Christmas ornaments, cards, wrapping paper and such has arrived at their store for curbside pick up.

Oh my, cat food ?? I wil say there is plenty of dog food here..not necessarily the kind you want, but at least you can buy dog food. Rhonda would rather have the kind she likes, but oh well..at least she has food to eat.

We went through the cat food shortage this spring, mind you we have barn cats so they aren't fussy. I found some at a box store and bought enough to last awhile. I am waiting for laundry to dry then will head out and tie up the last of the shrubs. GG has home school for 6 hours a day so we'll go out at her 'recess time'.

Home ec was fun. I loved all of it. Even the bookwork. The cooking came easily because I was already cooking regularly for the family.

So sorry for GG' s meltdown. I guess we all deal with this virus in different ways.
My Grandson thinks to go over his spelling words once is plenty good. Never mind that it was thursday night and he had no cue how to spell several of the words. I guess we were all there...ie of school age and not really wanting to do the work, huh ??

What kind of trees Junie? I am thankful I do not have to deal with the overgrown firs and spruce in my yard anymore, the only thing left is to burn the stumps in the spring. They lifted our lock down last night. I couldn't believe that they held a large craft sale near here this afternoon, I always went the other years but I wouldn't dare with Covid. I was told that you couldn't put another vehicle in the yard....I can see another lock down soon.

A chinese elm I think it is, we only have 2 more trees besides it and they are not the size to trim yet...and he was going to trim some bushes that are up against the house.
Yes I agree about the craft fairs. I miss going to them, but now is definitely not the time to be doing things like that.

We just changed the basement smoke alarms last month (upstairs alarms are wired in)..but the clocks are changed now as well.

Tina, my husband is the same...he can't take the cold at all. It is the leading cause of our arguments in Winter, he puts more wood in the stove and I open the windows a little more. I wear a tank top and capris in the house here all Winter.

Oh my, we should trade husbands, Sunny. Mine is like you. I have to wear a house coat to bed in the winter or I freeze. Then I need to wear sweaters and jackets in the house during the day. In the summer I need to be by a fan or go to the basement during the day. As he likes the house warmer then.
I still say people should fill out forms to be allowed to date. This was my stance long before online dating. I often think of the money I might have made if I had of known how to make that a real thing back in the day.

Johnny and I both like it a little bit chilly but not freezing. My girls, on the other hand AND their husbands, like it freezing in their houses. I can barely stand it. I stay in my bedroom a lot when I go to Ginger's because I have an electric blanket on my bed and I just keep my coat on the rest of the time and at Shelley's. 60° inside is too cold for me.
We've had a few cool days but it's warming back up and the ladybugs and the wasps are out.

I must say it would best if both parties had the same likes and dislikes in regards to "weather" indoors. THAT should also be a question on the form.

Good morning, it is a cooler day today so I think I'll tackle some housework. GG has a full day of projects to complete as well, homeschooling is going well but she can't wait for the strikes to be over so she can go back to seeing her friends in person.

A walk sounds nice. I spent the day cleaning and mopping...it was damp outdoors.

Yes, nice days will be few and far between for a long while.
I am waiting for the Remembrance Day special on television. I am not sure if they are having it locally, I always attend the one at the school but it has been cancelled due to Covid.

Good morning, it is a cold, gloomy day today. It will be a good day to stay inside and bake for the week ahead. There is still no school due to the strikes and some parents are refusing to home school their kids anymore. I'm not sure if it will pressure the government or punish the children.

Oh my goodness. Well, IMO mist likely the kids will suffer. I am sad about the whole situation. I hope it gets resolved soon.

I hope so Junie, it has been two weeks of home schooling...with many not even bothering as it is. The children have lost enough education due to Covid. It is snowing a half hour drive from here, it is still saying that we will get rain instead. I'll know within the hour.

Tina, we are covered in freezing rain....I'd have rather had the snow. DH got called out through the night to salt and sand roads....my driveway is a 'slip and slide'. Time to bring in the lilac Junie, how is it growing in the pot?

Yes it is very much time.to bring it in, Sunny. It is.doing quite well. I will have to see if one of my other pots are larger than the one it is in. If so I will. "try" to move it to the larger pot next spring. I guess should not mention that my 2 amaryllis that should be in the basement right now are still out as well? I really let things slip what with being sick and all. I need to make a list to start getting things caught up. Yep I do.

Shelley, Darbi, and Aubry and I went to the Southern Christmas Show today. It was fun but a little depressing for me.
Our weather has been perfect. I put out pansys in the window boxes yesterday.

It is so windy today, below 32* as well...but the snow skipped us, they got about 8 inches an hour drive West of here.

It's flurrying at the moment but it melts as soon as it hits the ground. I guess it is warning me to put out some Christmas lights sooner than later.

Yes I am sure it is. I wish Rod would put lights up on the eves of the porch, but we do put out a nativity and my candles. So that will be nice.

Nope they are turning colors, and we are loosing some leaves but plenty are attached to the tres yet. Even though the weather man says that the recent winds have knocked plenty of them off the trees.

I am watching Snow White and the seven dwarves with Teddy. It's amazing how much Dopey reminds me of Teddy. Loveable and quiet.

Yes, I could not deal with your weather either. And it is plenty bad weather-wise here as it is.
I woke to my daughter's voice in my livingroom this morning. All 3 girls has fevers and were not feeling good. Day. before yesterday evening they all 4 got their covid Vaccinations. About 2 o'clock Heidi and Nora were doing much better. Cora felt warm, had a headache all day left that way going home. I sure he that she feels good enough to go to school tomorrow. and their teacher sent home work for them.to.do..they none needed to be doing anywork, but they got some done, with grandma's help...their mom said for her part they were going to wait until this weekend to do their catch up work.
