What kind of potatoes did you plant this year, Sheri? russet. I haven't dug any up yet. Hope they do ok.

Sheri: I always got those very short soda boxes, put news paper in the bottoms and then put my dug up potatoes in them by size, and so the potatoes did not touch . Then I kept them in my basement. They kept until I used them all...which was usually January And oh, I sat them out on my picnic table for one day after I dug them up to make sure I did not put damp potatoes into the basement Good Night to you all.

My potatoes are just starting to die back here Bestofour, I can't wait to dig them up. I dry mine on cardboard in a dark shed for a few days, then place them in 'breathable burlap type bags'. I picked the biggest green pepper I have ever grown yesterday...it had a touch of sun scald so I needed to get it before an insect did.

The sun is finally out here. (4:00 pm) It has rained off and on all day. I hope we actually got enough rain to make a decent accumulation.

I'm here Junie.  It's raining here today too but we very much need it. I'm going to Ginger's Wednesday for 2 weeks. I'm still mad that they moved so far away but they don't care I usually go to her house for Thanksgiving but not sure what will happen this year because if Chris's parents come I don't want to stay more than a day or two in a house full of people and it's a long way to fly for just a day or two.

I am here as well, I have been so busy this past week. Have a fun trip Bestofour. I'd plan the trip for the time prior to Thanksgiving so that I could leave the day after.

When I was small, school began the end of August.
But then there was a small break for Labor Day.
Now the kids..began August 17 th and my daughter begins before that.
