Coffee is on.
We are having the wildest Winter storm that I can remember, the power keeps surging and flicking on and off. Half the province has no power and it is minus -50*F with the windchill. I have ice built up have way up my interior windows.

Oh my..you have ice even with a wood burning stove. That is terrible.
I think it may thaw here this weekend. The main roads are good, but all the side roads are untreated. I have backed up errands to do on Monday.

It's 70 ° today and beautiful outside. I've been doing a little yard work and have decided that I'm not having a garden this year - probably for the first time in 20 or more years but I'm just not gonna do it. I've also decided to start looking for houses that don't have such a large yard to worry about. The way my acreage is set up there's no way to let 4 or 5 acres of it to go natural without it looking horrible and rundown so I just need to move.

It's in the 60's today and the sun is shining bright so I'm not sure why the weather people are saying by Sunday we're going to have sleet and snow. I think they make this stuff up sometimes just to have something to say. I have to be at work at noon today. I kinda don't want to go.

It is supposed to to be near 70 here by Sunday.
This see,/saw weather is just ridiculous. If it keeps up, we should all coordinate a hospital and meet there. We just as well enjoy our hospitalizations.

Oh I rose, plenty early too. We are keeping one of our Granddaughters today. She is getting over some virus or other...But hey, I actually went and did my grocery shopping. "Papaw" took care of our little charge while I was gone.

I went to the gym yesterday and today. It's hard to make myself go but I like it when I get there and feel better after. I was supposed to work today but called in sick. Don't tell on me. I was there 4 days last week, one day for work and 3 days for a class and I have to be there Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of this week and just couldn't make myself go today. I signed up to work once in a while but it's turned into almost full time.
I got a random text from dodge today. I think she's fine.

Could you try to talk to your supervisor and tell her that.you had not wanted to work so much when you applied ? Sounds as if they are using you to fill in and that everyone who works there full time now knows there is someone to cover if they call off.... AND so they do. Could this be happening?
OR are they shorthanded like most places are these days ?

It was lovely here today. Went and picked up eggs at the farmers market then walked around my little town and went in most of the shops, then ate a hotdog at the best hotdog place in the world, then took a nice nap.

It was lovely here today. Went and picked up eggs at the farmers market then walked around my little town and went in most of the shops, then ate a hotdog at the best hotdog place in the world, then took a nice nap. Can I move in with you?

Brother!!! I had a time signing in here today and when I finally got in I was taken to a 2009 post by JV. Remember him? But it was a sweet post thanking you, Carol, for a card you had sent. I miss our old members. Some of them anyway.
We've had some warm days but this morning it was 36° which I imagine is warm for you Sunny.
I'm at work today and I hope the residential staff take the kids out. This is a sad place. It's basically a place where parents or DSS dump kids that no one want to deal with. If you ever have time look up PRTF in NC. And then look them up in Arkansas is worse than NC. These kids are supposed to get counseling - they don't because therapists won't work for what these places want to pay them. They're supposed to see psychiatrists - they see them virtually (NEVER in person) once in a while and then the psychiatrist provides all sorts of medicines that are horrible and the kids can never stop taking. We have 1 teacher for ALL the kids here who are all ages from 10 - 17 - ONE TEACHER!!! If she's out sick for a week or two they don't have any school. People have complained, we have been and are currently being investigated by the Department of Social Services but nothing is ever done because there is no place else to send these kids. And like I said, Arkansas is far worse. So I hope they take them to do something fun today.

It's 31° and windy as all get out. I like the cold but the wind will cut right through you. We to book club tonight and just walking through the parking lot was horrible.

Normal does not equate to enjoyable.
We will pray for warmer weather for us all.
And rain..from midnight until 6 am only. I have been asking for that for most of my life...Oh well, one can dream, right ?
