Their glasses were much darker than ours, so we all used ours to view the eclipse. It was so very awesome. Then we had eclipse cake. LOL. aka a chocolate cake with chocolate icing with orange design on top to depict the sun/moon...a fun time for sure.

DH and GG watched it with welders masks.  It was a strange feeling to see it go dark outdoors, then to light again in a matter of minutes.

Yes it was strange. We have photos of the yard when we were in totality. The street lights came on and everything. It was sure something to remember.

Yes he is much better. I am sure he thought he had a touch of food poisoning but we ate the same food, so he could not blame me. He did ask me if I had his symptoms... Of course I do not.
About your own tablet. If it were me, I would put a bit back every month and when I had enough I would buy one of my own. I . Then if Carey' s acts up on him, he can deal with it.
For your info, Amazon has good sales around Christmas time..here usually between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Money saved is always a good thing after all.

You have a smart boy, James.  We got some ice pellets through the night, it is snowing all around us. We are starting to get some nicer days...which means that everyone is dealing with flooding. Thankfully, we took care of those issues a few years ago. I feel so bad for people here who finished their basements...it is not worth the trouble and risk.

Sorry for the ice/snow Sunny. spring will be here soon, I promise. It is raining here to beat the band. But I will take it as we were foretold to get severe storms. So we will take the rain.

Thanks. Thankfully all we got was about 1-1/2 inches of rain, and a little thunder. All is warm and sunny today.

I started with all the kitchen cabinets...I like getting the 'worse' done first. Today I will tackle GG's bedroom. Our snow has been melting nicely but it is calling for flurries tonight and a storm on Thursday. Oh well, that is normal for here.

Hurrah on the cleaning..one day soon you will be all done. To tackle one area at a time, is less over-whelming----yay for you !! Let the flurries come. They give you more time to get the cleaning done so that you will be free to be outside more when that opportunity presents itself.

Yes, as soon as this is done then I will have to tackle raking the entire lawn. Well, when the snow is finally gone. GG told me today that cleaning a house was just too much work. Mind you, deep cleaning a teenager's bedroom really is.  Happy Birthday Bestofour, I hope you have a nice day...as well as having a delicious cake to eat.

I am so sorry for the snow, Sunny. I hope spring comes soon for you. Sooner than we think, we woke up to everything covered white this morning but now the weather man says it will be in the 60's for the next four days starting tomorrow.

Yes, that kind of thing is happening here...we have freezing/ or frost temps here one night then it gets up in the 70's the next day. And then lots of rainy days/stormy days along with. A!though I will say we have been fortunate in that the severe storms have been going north and south if us instead of right thru here. I am glad for the higher temps for you though, That should help melt your snow.

It's been down right cold here. Something has damaged my cucumber plants. I think one of the fields across the streets was plowed and sprayed with some type of herbicide or something and it's been so windy it blew over to my yard. I hope they recover. I've got two big ole happy bunnies hoping around the yard too so I'm going to have to come up with a plan to keep them out of the garden. The 4 bluebirds and 8 little house wrens have flown away and I guess they made it because i haven't found any dead baby birds laying around the yard.

Yikes, I hope they recover...do they spray often? It has been going from flurries in the a.m. to 65*F in the afternoon here. I spent 8 hrs raking yesterday, my bones are stiff this morning.
