Fish Fertilizer or Blood Meal?

I was wondering if there is a difference or preference in using Alaska Fish fertilizer(5-1-1) or Blood Meal(12-0-0) other than the numbers? I know or at least think that the Alaska is liquid so it would most likely work faster.

Fish fertilizer is better for Nitrogen (green growth) and bone meal is better for Phosphorus (root growth).
