Have any of you ever made an arbour out of cedar poles? I love the rustic look of cedar when it is peeled and left to age. I am just curious since that is on my summer project plan.

Just got to convince DH to cut down the cedar trees first. I'm not very good with the chain saw. I can use it, just can't start the damn thing.

We are debating(as he says). We had poured a cement pad 10 ft by 10 ft a few years ago. I want to put an arbour in front of it, he wants to buy a screen house and cover the whole thing. An arbour won't look good with the screen house.

Hoping he can't find one 10 by 10. grin

Penny, we are talking about cutting down 15-25 foot trees lol

The short cedars trees aren't as good as the middle of a tall tree.
