Mark - I'm so glad yours are growing well for you - it's exciting, isn't it?

PHOOEY on those spider mites though! Hope you managed to get them all!!!
I noticed aphids all over one of my favorite petunia hanging baskets yesterday, and a few hovering near my wonderegg pot - it's too cold and windy here to blast them with a hose today, so it will have to wait til this weekend - hope they don't do too much damage in the interim.

Diane: I sure will post pictures as soon as I can get my camera loaded to this computer, and photobucket figured out--the good news is I have been taking a few pics as I went along. so if nothing else when my daughter gets home form her trip at the end of the month I will get this all worked out.
The bad news is my camera is not the best--
and right now I think I need to transplant from the 4 inch pots to bigger
pots.
I hope I started them right---I used peat pellets and put them in a plastic bag to serve as a greenhouse---all 6 came up, and only one did not make the transplant--so I have 5 pots right now--yea---- clap clap

(Christy do you have your plants inside or outside!?)

So does it matter if I keep my Wonder Egg plants indoors?? do I have to set them out for a certain period of time?? and if so at what time do I do this?/

i think thats up to you, they can be house plants or outside plants.

i put mine outside, but cause mine got a later start i put them in a basket [container] my zone is colder so if it gets too cold or frost before the eggs can ripin i can just put em in the house or green house.

My flower finally opened today - I'm so glad the one stem survived from last year, so I'll have at least 1 egg, if the new plants don't have enough time to develop!

Just want to update on mine:

Those $%^&$#@#^ spider mites came back... and just today I hosed them down lightly twice... and checked every leaf afterwards...lol
Hope it's not too late... I already lost a bunch more leaves, and the stem holding the eggs was starting to brown on 2 or 3 of them... shock
They seem fine now... I'll post pics later [my uncle went upstate earlier today for the weekend, took my camera, and his truck broke down up there.. so he's stuck there until he can get his truck fixed lol Don't worry he's fine, and with other family lol ]

shockmark hope your uncle gets home ok, that would suck being broke down so far away from home,
i herd neem oil is good for keepin away bugs, i cant seem to find any around here though,

up!

One of my eggs, although still fairly small, is starting to yellow! grin

I hope it has fertile seeds in it, and I get them before it's too late for the plant lol ... I'm still losing leaves, and I saw more of those @^$#^$* spider mites today!

All my new buds keep falling off as well... but the 7 eggs I have still seem to be hanging in there, and now with that one that's yellowing...

I'll get pics soon..

I keep forgetting about this topic. I had transplanted mine to the garden and they don't look so well but are surviving. I keep forgetting to water anything outside which I'm sure doesn't help. Usually when I forget to water outside it will eventually rain. It hasn't rained in a couple weeks and I've only remembered to water a few times. I need a watering reminder thingy of some sort.

I hope so too, Mark, but I j ust wanted to let you know

and actually it is a shame you live so far away--i have 6 pots of the Wonder Egg plants--and all are alive & healthy---

I tried to take pics of them after I transplanted them for the 2nd time, BUT apparently I need to delete pics from my camera first---AND that means a trip to somewhere to get them printed.--(my camera software is still NOT loaded on my computer)---well, on day soon, still not driving too much--- notme
