I've grown green envy zinnia before.can't believe your color washed out so much in the picture.I need to load some pics.I been stressing trying to hook up a wireless internet.I may just load them in FIL computer.would at least BE faster..lolIts been muggy very very humid. And I need to finish mowing.Maybe will luck out and rain on me to keep me cool.I got a great flush open on unknown pink brugmansia.9 flowers and smells wonderful.I could smell them mowing 30 ft away.
I will age ungracefully until I become an old woman in a small garden..doing whatever the Hell I want!

I found some new bloomers today. My white phlox is starting to bloom, it's next to the russian sage, The allium is starting to open and look more bold. Its more lavendar than pink, sun might have changed the color a bit, I don't know why but I am a fan of Joe Pye weed, I love how tall it gets. The Joe Pye weed in my front yard is 6 ft tall! Its getting ready to bloom,

roses are starting to bloom here, I'll get pics between the rain showers. Oh, and I cut back my bleeding heart and it is reblooming again (I'll be doing that every year now).

I accidentally gave my bleeding heart a spray of round up this spring. I wiped it off and pulled some of the leaves off, it survived, but looks pitiful. I feel so bad about that. Hopefully it will be happier next year. So when do you cut down the bleeding heart and how far down?

I cut back the main stems half way down to another stem that's growing out and I also cut out some of the heavy big stems right to the ground. Well, it is regrowing like crazy and send out a whole new set of flowers.

I left my bleeding heart on it's own last year and it came back big this year with lots of blooms. I've been bringing in quite a few of my roses, though the bushes are smaller this year then last, I still have quite a few blooms. My lilies are finally showing their beauty, I planted the stargazer and the first blooms were so pale, I was a bit disappointed, but now their color is all it should be.
