Hi Wrennie!, the white marble is nice! Jennisca, thanks! Tamara, HD has river rocks. Need to hire a "strong one" to pick up the bags and carry to back after I return home. I think I like those river rocks the best. They are mixed shades of brown which would go nicely with my fountain. Barb, hope you get your next 50 down! What's new in your garden?

Hey Dodge,
Your tulips will come back next year probably even better than this year and with lots of babies too. Just put about 3 inchs of leaf mulch on them this fall. They love that. Mine made two babies each when I did that.

I'm doing lily of the valley's this year. Our friends tell me to contain them some what or they'll take over. I'm finally seeing a tiny bud coming up from the hosta I planted last year, sure glad to see that. My bleeding heart and hydrangea are coming along fine. Thought I'd loose my roses with this last snow fall, but they seem to be doing OK. My daughter bought me a mini rose bush for Mother's day last year and that's coming along nicely too. So far so good, now if we could just get a few calm days with NO WIND I'd love to do more garden work.

Rosepetal, what a beautiful picture. I had a rose bed at one house and I always thought the red roses smelled the best.

Bestofour I think you're probably right about red roses. I'm not even sure if this one has a fragrance or not. I'll have to check this summer.

It's been cold and dreary here, my snow is almost all gone and my weeds are popping up already. My daffodils are starting to make their buds.

My peonies are on their way from Brecks. I'm excited I bet you can tell. These are going in big planters. That way when I move they move without being disturbed. Woohoo!

I pulled all the spinach, blanched and froze it, and tilled the rest of the lettuce under, then I planted Peanuts and Blackeyed Peas today.

It's an attachment made for Troy-bilt. It will make a furrow 8" deep and 8" wide and has bolt on wings that will hill your 'tators. Works really well. Furrower/Hiller

Wow! We went from 15 degrees to 86 degrees in 3 1/2 weeks! My first planting of peas is up, and most of the first planting of corn. potatoes also, just barely. Cabbage, broccoli, and cauliflower are doing well. Some of the lettuce has gotten HUGE, and the strawberries are blooming. After this next "cool" snap passes, I'm considering planting my main crop tomatoes and peppers. My early tomatoes are blossoming well. I haven't checked yet to see if any fruit has set.

it looks like I'm going to have to pull out the bloom booster for my tomatoes. They just aren't producing flowers and they are over 2 feet long so I think they should. I've already forgotten the names of the peonies I bought but I'll definitely write it down when they come in. One is a dark red and the other is a pink and white. The newest additions to my garden at least if they sprout are some romaine lettuce and some tomato trees. I've got my fingers crossed.
