We've lived here for 17 years, I just started gardening!! It started when my husband was diagnosed with Rhematoid Arthritis, I figured I'd plant the front by the porch and the steep bank so he wouldn't have to mow, little did I know that I would love doing it and keep adding!! HAHA i guess that's how everyone gets started. When we bought this house I wasn't into gardening and the elderly woman had perennials planted all around, I didn't know a flower from a weed and planted shrubs--now I wish I would have kept up with it, oh well live and learn!!!
Dodge, The tall pinky/purply flowers are Liatris....I have tons of them..not sure if they have seeds I've split them and given a bunch away..I would be more than happy to send you some...not quite sure how to send them...like I said I usually just dig them up and split them. They spread like crazy. let me know if you'd like some.
Not doing anything new in the yard right now. I am working in my sewing room, have a few craft shows coming up and I've been busy trying to create!! NJ

We would love to see your creations in crafts and hobbies, NJ. Liatris does seed and they are easy to sprout from the seeds. That is probably part of why yours are spreading so nicely. To mail a bulbous plant like liatris, you dig, cut off tops and clean off all of the dirt. If you use water to rinse make sure they are completely dry (but not dried out) when you send. I'd wrap them in a paper towel and pop them into a bubble envelope and just send. Those are pretty easy.
