The first one looks like a grass that I pull out of the garden every spring...but I do have a trendency to pullout whatever I'm not sure of I am almost (not positive) sure its a weedAs for the second picture, of the purple flower, I think it might be veronica, or speedwell (they might be the same plant, veronica and speedwell) My first thought was purple loostrife...but whatever has tall purple spikes I think is loostrife I;ve never seen PL in real life before AS for the third pic, I can't think of what it is
Helping the world one seed at a time When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. Mary Ann LaPensee

Hi Franny!!!
I have purple loosestrife, and your second picture does look a lot like mine. If it is, be careful - it has become so invasive in the waterways and wetlands down here, that it is actually banned in numerous places. Mine is in a small, contained area in my garden, and I try and keep it cut back.

The second one is definitely purple loosestrife...I have several of the same ones. The third one is delphinium grandiflorum.

The first one looks an awful lot like crab grass to me. The only part that doesn't quite add up is the feathery blossom. Strange that you would only have one stalk, and strange that someone sold it to you as a vine. Maybe the vine died long before you bought it, and no one at the nursery knew any better.
