I am going to start making this very soon and thought I'd share a pic. If anyone has any experience with beading like this, boy I'd sure like to hear any advice you've got! This is my first beading project and my husband keeps saying that I may be too ambitious for my own good. I'm not arguing with him.
I thought these would make lovely christmas gifts. Do you think these would look as good in a monochromatic scheme (different coordinating hues of purple or another color) or maybe with the top of the wings a different color and the rest white??
and i'm jealous because i want to make one and my hands won't let me keep us posted on your progress, i think it will be fine. where did you find the instructions?
In a book from the library. I still need to scan them into the computer and save them. I'll lose them if I just made paper copies. Will keep you posted though.
Sharon, the instructions are from a book at the library called 'Art of seed beading' by elizabeth gourley, Jane Davis and Ellen Talbott. 1999 copyright.
Posting the directions would be difficult because it requires scanning the pages in. The instructions sometime say "following the pattern in figure A" If you'd like, I would be happy to email the scanned pics over to you, just let me know or PM me you addy.
