First, I got, in the mail today, all the results from that league that just ended that went all spring/summer on Saturday mornings. As most of you know, my team one the finals. I got all the results, along with a certificate for how much scholorship money i won. For placing 4th before the finals, I got $175, for winning the finals i got another $50, and for having the third highest individual match points[how many games in total i won, including those with my handicap added, which was 45], i got another $25. Which means I totalled $250 is scholorships, from a league that only cost $300 in total! Not bad!
Second, I've been chosen to play Maple Leaf Rag on piano for the Holiday/winter concert in december! I'll probably also be playing piano for the chorus, because the teacher played piano for them last year, and he can't conduct them and play piano at the same time, so, since he heard me play today, i'll probably be playing piano for them. I just have to brush up on my music theory
We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart? The other heart was given to another for us to find.
and now, here's momma mouse weighing in! i'm so proud of you on both counts, and think that you should plan to use the scholarship $$ on music classes. take classes that you want but wouldn't otherwise pay for, if you know what i mean. good luck and hang in there!
