Please sign this petition to prevent insurance companies from discharging patients from hospitals on the day of mastectomy surgery! Women will be sent home with drains still inserted, and no follow-up care other than a doctor's office visit.
This bill proposes that patients and their doctors TOGETHER should have the right to decide if a patient needs in care help for at least 48 hours or more after a mastectomy.
I had no problem going back there and getting the submit button after I read your first post here, and still have no problem now - wonder what could be happening?
I went back and had no problem. So I guess it was just my internet connection maybe? I'm not really computer savy enough to be able to guess why it didn't show up the first time. But I signed up now. I'm going to copy and paste your link to some of my friends if I can so they can sign up too.
I signed too...though I'm not sure if it was of any help

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. Mary Ann LaPensee
Thanks all! I just can't even fathom someone going home after such physical and emotional surgery!!! My mom had a lumpectomy about 7 years ago, and she had to stay overnight - a mastectomy is much more involved!
Kenny - I'm sure your signature is as important as anyone else's is!
