Nice platform feeder and the typical birds to expect at one. I see a little Carolina Wren, too. They like peanuts almost as much as Jays.

The very SAME peanuts we eat, Betty. I have had Gastric Bypass surgery, and roasted salted-in-the-shell peanuts are one of the things that are recommended for me to eat, so I buy them buy the ton. Every morning I put a handful of these nuts (in the shell) out for the Jays, Wrens, Titmouses, and Squirrels to eat. They ALL really APPRECIATE it.

After Gatric Bypass you need to eat a HIGH protein diet for the rest of your life, and nuts and peanuts are quite high in protein. In addition I eat TONS of cheese, and lots of chili, corned beef hash, and tamales. For a treat, I like dark chocolate drops. Now that my wife has cancer we are adding a lot more cancer fighting foods to our diet. I also need massive amounts of life giving CAFFEINE!!!

Thorn,

Holy smokes I will pray for you and your wife with cancer.
Tell her blueberries is good for that ...I make Hot quaker oats and add blueberries on top after it is cooked..Love it.

I love your menu all except tamales , and chile got me really sick on monday......I cant eat spicy too well.

God bless your both, we appreciate your knowledge and photos.
Caffine I love.
Chocolate made us both sick on valentines day.. We only had 3 boxes by mistake......We were tricking each other.
Tricked us huh.
We get sore mouths from too much chocolate....
