before i put this picture here, i have to preface it with some detail. when scott and i went to ky to help cindy, we ended up stopping short because we were exhausted. scott layed the back seats down in the car (a rental) and stretched out with his head on the top of the seat like a pillow, and his feet against the trunk lid at the very back.
i reclined the front passenger seat and put a dark red blanket over my head to block the light, as we were only stopped for an hour or so waiting for mcdonald's to open.
the rental car had florida plates on it and they were expired. we were at an exit to a north/south interstate that ran to south florida (can you say drug corridor?) so the local cops patrolling the parking lot got a shock, and just knew they had found a couple of dead bodies. especially when they shined the light in the car and found me not moving (remember, i had a blanket over my face) and this:
added to it, when they rapped on the window (right by scott's head, he didn't even flinch (he had in earplugs!) i really felt bad for them. or i would have, if i had not been so tired!
i took the picture, AFTER i explained that we were just to tired to continue our trip, and stopped to wait for breakfast! they didn't even give us a ticket on the tags when scott didn't move, even after all that (blue lights in the back window, slamming car doors, etc). he was way tired.
The title of this topic just made me choke on my coffee. Here, when we say 'all laid out' it means a funeral service. That pic was a little spooky for a sec until I read the whole post
Poor guy must have really been tired.
~~Tam~ You can bury all your troubles by digging in the dirt.
Tamara: I thought the same thing when I saw the thread---we say it that way here too. wow Jiffy, Scott must have been real real tired. so glad the 2 of you got to stop & rest.
