I realize that most of you will do almost anything to help me to keep everything running smoothly on the forum, and for that reason you worry about getting too many PMs in your mailboxes and therefore delete single reply messages so they don't build up. If I were to ask the question "do you have more than 100 friends that you PM with" I'd venture to guess that there are no more than 3! My options are set so that you can reply to your own replies without a response, and I'm pretty sure it is set for unlimited replies to a PM, so if you only chat with 6 or 20 other folks, you'd have a constant 6 or 20 PMs in your mail box plus a couple of "save" PMs that you can now send to yourself. Deleting single reply PM, and sending another later has the effect of loading up certain mailboxes, of people who are afraid to delete til it gets critical because she gets unlimited pms..... whos name I won't mention.... I think you'll like the "single person, one looooooong PM" method, and it would work well as far as server load... If you don't like doing it that way, feel free to do whatever feels best for you without another thought. I hope that all made sense...
made perfect sense to me bill. i'll look at this for me (although, i don't get alot of pm's unless we are in a tag or swap), and i hope everyone else does too! thanks for working to keep this working smoothly
I had to read that twice, but I THINK I have got it now!

We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart? The other heart was given to another for us to find.
I won't even try to Guess ^ who you may be referring too, I try to make a point of keeping mine down to 7 or 8 , But I'll go get phone #'s and addy's out now and take it back to 2

I have one in my box with a couple of responses on it. I will delete it. I try to keep things clean in there. Well, except when i share a 'colorful' joke.

OK--so I thought I had it figured & now i am not sure---so here I go---
if i have a PM to Jiffy about say a seed swap--if i keep replying to each reply i get in that subject thread it is still considered as 1 PM--right??? BUT if i start a brand new message each time then my number of PM's continue to grow--am i right or confused??/

I've been doing this for a few of my PM's but I had a bunch that hadn't been used in over a month, so just the other day I deleted ALL of those! ...maybe I should have kept them? But I didn't want to have a cluttered room...ya know? Well, I didn't want my online room to be cluttered!! LOL....you should see my real room! Oy!
I think several members misinterpreted the purpose of my topic. please don't think I was asking anyone to clean their mail boxes. I just wanted to make your forum life easier... G'night...

Bill I understand, and thank you, because I HAD been deleting mine after a few replies. and starting a new one to the same person, so now I will just let them, to each person, ramble on and on!!!
I love the idea that I can have long running pm's with each of my friends and even groups of friends right? You can have several people in one string now can't you?
