This link will take you to the online picture album for Maddie's 5th month of life. She's getting really big.....weighing in at 11 lbs. 6 ozs. yesterday. There is a good picture of her sleeping in her swing for this month......compare it to the picture of her sleeping in the swing for month 3.....what a difference!!! Enjoy!
LOL......it's the high calorie formula she is on!! We get a shipment of 10 cans of it every month.....but she doesn't use all 10 cans. Usually about 5 or 6.
But who works so hard at getting it all together and feeding it to her. My son was born here in s California right next to Loma Linda hospital. I moved to NY when he was an infant. Turns out when I stopped nursing that he was allergic to milk. Back then (he's 32 now) I had to order soy milk all the way from------Loma Linda. They were the only ones who made it back then.

Stephen and I break up the duties. Stephen washes the bottles and vents and stuff (we use Dr. Brown's bottles and they each have 4 pieces that go on the bottle part!!!) and makes enough formula for one day for me and also draws her medicines so that I don't have to. Then I feed her all but 2 feeds every day (he does the other 2) and I take care of pretty much everything else until he gets home from work (then he gets her and I get a break). He takes her for most of the weekends also so that I have a day and a half of relaxation. :)
We were afraid that she might have some allergies when she was in the hospital. There is one kind of formula that is used in extreme allergy situations that can only be ordered from England and it is like $90/can and the can supposedly only lasts for like a week!!! Thank goodness she is only on the special preemie formula....and that might be changing next week too!
Jenn, She is adorable.... and your are so right they grow so very fast- my son had allergies too- but they put him on goats milk- nasty stuff when spit back up.... he was allergic to soy and cow's milk- don't know why goats milk worked for him but it was a long process ..must have worked cause he is almost 36 now! Time flies1 Nana
Nana, we were lucky in that she doesn't have any allergies. The hospital thought maybe she was allergic to milk products because she was had a fever and they had done all the blood tests that they possibly could have. Turns out she just had a fever (duh!) the formula she is on now is just high calorie for preemies or low birth weight babies.
The poor child looks bald in every picture....she does have hair, it is just soo blonde on the top that you can barely see it! And the hair on the sides and lower back of her head is red......and boy does she have a temper to go with hit! Oy!! LOL!!!
