Thanks in advance........... I live 30 mile from 911 plane crash and still we feel the Pain. I Pray to God we never see this in Our good Ole USA again.....Our troops are making a difference......Lets tell them.
Yep..............I will never forget the day............. I was working at a sewing factory, and we were listening to it on the news. All the girls were crying and we were so baffled at what was happen to our USA.
That plane was headed for Washinton DC they say.....Our brave men brought it down to save DC and our people.. If nothing else we should be thankful it wasnt worse.......My heart breaks for all them and the ones in New York.........
Better they fight them over there then to fight them here......Remember it happened before..
I think 9/11 was hard on everybody but I can't imagine how it must have been being so close to it. Thanks for sharing the address Barb!!
To be truthful, I thought our homes were going to be bombed next and was so afraid to go home.. Thank heavens HD came up to my Job at lunch time and told me what he thought it was an meant..........
It lingers......I don't have the guts to visit the site, knowing americans were dead on the spot, of such evil.
Barb - I live about 40 miles from the site in NYC, and know exactly how you feel. It got so very quiet here in the suburbs for several days following the crashes - all flights from Stewart Airport were suspended. We usually have a few flights directly overhead per hour - not too many yet, (they are trying to change the flightpath to be directly overhead!) - and it was very eerily QUIET those days.
You could hear your heart pounding in your chest everytime an odd sound happened, or no sounds at all. Not something I would ever want to experience again, and I'm so grateful to all the men and women who are fighting for our rights and freedom!
Barb, I will send cards also- I remember those days too- was really quiet here too- except for the military jets from the Springs flying over and over - they were guarding Cheyenne Mountain .. where they hide the president and all the top secret stuff- my ex SIL works there and he was locked up for a couple weeks there... my nephew has been to Iraq twice now- my daughter's BIL has been twice too... and my ex SIL is on his way this month ... I copied the address down in my address book - will try and send cards out every month... Nana
