plants n pots found this link free wild flower seeds to save the bees and asked if it could be posted. cindy and i checked it out, and found it to be from a reliable company that wasn't selling anything from this link.
we aren't endorsing their products, we are suggesting that if you like to send off for free things, this is a reputable company for the goods they do sell. the seeds are their way of reminding everyone to "get back to nature".
lynne thank you for following the guidelines and not posting the link. as you know, we prefer to check all links to make sure that our members are protected from bogus sites.
Thanks Cindy and Jiffy. I thought it was a worthwhile link to share - we get free seeds, and by growing them, we help the beekeepers with their disappearing population. Though we seemed to have an abundance of bees last summer, and both Don and I have the stings to prove it!
Tamara and Carol - I have clicked it numerous times and get in every time, but Cindy had some trouble at first too. If at first you don't succeed, try again?
Burt's Bees is a wonderful company!!! They make the BEST skin care product out of beeswax and other natural ingredients. Their beeswax and peppermint lip balm is wonderful!!! I have TWO tins of it sitting on my computer desk and my wife has a tube of it in her purse right now!!!
Kingdoms RAGE and go to war...but the PEasants plant potatoes..
EARTH FIRST! (we'll strip-mine the OTHER planets later.)
It appears the site is down right now, I'll try again later too.
Yes, they are a wonderful company, originating in Maine in the early 1980's. An unemployed waitress met up with an eccentric Maine beekeeper who was selling honey from the back of a beatup Datsun pickup truck. They started out selling honey, then making candles on a woodstove and eventually expanded to their natural personal care line. I believe the company was bought out by Clorox for over $900 million and is now based in North Carolina.
the link didn't work for me either. so, i took out everything from the address that was after the .com and got their main page (nice site, btw) and then i did a search of their site for 'free seeds' (without the quotes) and a list of articles/links came up. clicked on the first one and got the page for entering address info.
that order page is secure so that may be why the link isn't working.
I got it fine, and I signed me and mom up for the seeds!!!
OK--i tried it again--then I tried it the way Joclyn did no luck--so then I went to my IE and looked for the site myself---no such luck--Loz could you do me the favor & register me for me???

Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain!! .....
That's O.k. Carol. We have plenty of bees here, in fact next year I have to move a honeysuckle bush because the bees keep swarming me while I cook on the barbeque~I planted it too close.
