Apple sauce from fresh apples.

Peel
slice like for potatoes
put them in a deep pot
add just enough water at the bottom(Ha)
about an inch.
Cook till very soft
Mash
Add sugar , cinnamon, to your taste.
Also Nutmeg , if you like it .

We love it ......have 4 apple trees in operatiom.

I freeze all mine......
Just made a huge batch on monday..We eat it daily here..

I make my sauce almost like yours, 'cept i cooked my sugar in a bit when the apples are cooked down.--and i too freeze my sauce--i do not trust myself 7 canning----

What I like about freezing......takes less $$ and space .. I use freezer bags and lay it flat as possible and it holds more..
That is where our cow is, so we must salvage space for her.
