Here is the recipe off my head ....I use for apple , peach or pie that needs a crust.
2 cups flour 1tsp salt 1 cup shortening (Any)
Just jell all the shortening together with the tongs of your fork......When is looks like say peas .............Add cold water little at a time and mix it all to a smooth texture. Do not mix long.........Only to make a nice dough. Roll out whatever you like..
Works for me.. Oh I put my dough on a piece of wax paper to roll it out and transport it to the pan......easier.
DOdge I have tried that over and over and over again,, I just doesn't work for me,, I don't have a clue what I'm doing wrong,, Someone told me the Water Need to be really cold,, not just tiped warm>>

Let me explain again. Put the flour in a bowl...... Scoop out the shortening an drop it in that. Take the tongs of your fork and drag it out in long strides
Thats perfect ......It is looking nice an golden on top......
You did very well.......None of mine are perfect in shape.......I have some really old pans with the groves on the ends which helps..... But no one cares as long as they can eat it .......
I make many different types. Depending on the season......I freeze apples and do lots of that in the winter ....Can peaches or freeze for pie. Blueberrys, blackberries, raspberry...... Whatever I can lay my hand on.
I am very proud of you........What did the family say??
Dwight said" Lets Put it in the freezer so it will cool faster so we can hurry up and cut it",,,, I said "eat it now if you want - it's just you and I that live here so I won't tell a soul if you just dig into it now!, ",
shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Don't tell anyone,, Dwight is in there scooping it up UHHHHHHHHHH I hear him in the freezer I bet he's getting icecream to put on top!! But I won't tell a soul that's what he's doing!!
