Here is our new baby. We haven't named her yet.

[Linked Image]

As you can see we have one very excited and happy little boy!

We didn't get more than a half a mile away from the house we got her at and she went sound asleep on me.

Very nice looking little dog for him! Be sure to post and let us know when you pick a name, m'kay?

How old is the dog?

We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart?
The other heart was given to another for us to find.

She's just 6 weeks. She is already rotten. She wants to play, sleep or be held constantly.

Beagles have one of the sweetest dog faces ever!!!
My friend across the street had one when we were growing up - I always asked them if I could walk him!

That little boy and his pup will be good friends for a VERY long time!

She is sleeping in her cage. We got a big one so she will have plenty of room even when she is grown.

Little beagles have very big voices. I had a beagle named Joker. The timing wasn't the best for raising a dog along with my two preschoolers. And the ex (who really wanted the dog) wasn't much help. I finally found a home for her when she was about four years old where she would get the attention she deserved. She was a good dog, really. Just more than I could deal with at the uncertain times in my life right then.

Puppies are used to sleeping with their litter-mates. Even adults dogs will often sleep in a crowd. That is one of the first hardest lessons they need to learn, how to sleep alone. It is hard on new owners too when the puppy whines for company. It is a lot like teaching your kids to sleep alone. (Some of us aren't so good at that)
It is often why dogs sleep with their owners. (and kids play musical beds like Teddy does.)

DH will be jealous when I show him the pics, he wants a beagle as well. My aunt has one, it's the best dog she said they have ever owned.

Just think of all the fun and trouble those two will get into now grin

I would love to let her sleep with us to get her to stop whining. But, she hasn't figured out the whole bathroom thing yet. She still wants to go constantly and if we don't stay right on top of her she'll go wherever she is.

I would really like to miss the whole puppy phase. All she wants to do it poop and chew on stuff. She is cute as a button, though. We're really glad to have her. I need to find a name.

we had a beagle when I was growing up, her name was Punkin', and my grandma had one also, named Bitsy. They are very sweet, loyal dogs, & your beagle is just cute as a button! luv I think Cuddles fits your puppy too, sure looks like she likes to "cuddle" with Brennan.

We also have 6 new pets besides the puppy. We have 6 triops. Bill and Mommy had sent them to Brennan after she first got home to CH in July. We hadn't had a chance to hatch them. Honestly, I was sceptical that they would actually hatch. But they did. They started out as eggs about as big as a pin point. They hatched 4 days later and were so small you could hardly see them. Now they are about a week and a half old and a little over a quarter inch long.

Yeah, they came with food. The instructions tell what kind of food to buy if it runs out. I have no idea how long to expect them to live. I had to change their water yesterday and I literally scooped them out of the old water with a spoon and plopped them down into the new water. If I had done that with a goldfish it would have been a goner. These little guys just started going, though.

I saw that. They are neat to have, but I'm not sure if I want a second generation. The container has to be direct sunlight to keep warm. The only place I have to put it is right in the middle of the kitchen counter. You know how I am about stuff like that. If Brennan actually keeps interested in them, I'll get the sand when they're big enough and try for some more, though.

Are you kidding? We've had enough trouble naming one puppy. I've been calling her Bailey. I like it. I'll have to see what Brennan thinks about it when he gets home.

Bailey it is! Jeremy called a few minutes ago and said a guy at work told him today at lunch he had 2 beagles and one of them was named Bailey. He said he thought that would be a cute name for her. Brennan likes it too.
