I do have a camcorder , but it works best with motion things.. Like lil haley moving around.......That is so precious to record that and watch her grow.. Never before did we have such a good opp.

One day I caught 3 bears , with out a camera.. I was on a bike and mamma and her 2 cubs ran across the road in front of me..... And home again, home again jiggity jig .........I went.
actually, we have one (or a family?) that lives on our property. terrorizes our dogs if they get out (the dogs). about the size of a large beagle they are, but built like a long legged housecat, short tail. stocky. i've caught a glimpse of one, so has dh. he likes the wild life on the property, but gets funky and wants to shoot.

Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain!! .....
I've seen two bobcats in the wild in my life, both in the mountains of North Carolina. As a boy, I babysat a bobcat for a couple of weeks for the Tennessee Game and Wildlife Commission. I had several large cages and would do this for the Commission. This Bobcat was MEAN!!! He even bit me once. I also had two Red Foxes. One was mean, one was VERY friendly. The friendly one was Freddy. I would let him out of the cage and he would play in the yard with my dogs, or sit on my lap to get petted. He was very sweet.

Ya done GOOD, Barb. Now may I recommend a 2-4 Gb photo card made for your camera and 4-8 15- minute rechargeable AA batteries from Ray-O-Vac with the 15 minute charger. That should do ya awhile!

Is that good?
As long as you have RECHARGEABLE batteries. That is the important thing, or else you will go broke......FAST!

Dodge, I believe your camera will use an "SD" type video card. Just check the package to make sure it will work for your make and model of camera. I recommend at LEAST a 2 Gigabyte card. In YOUR camera, that will hold about 500 pictures, shooting at the highest picture resolution, which I highly recommend.

Thanks Thorn,
Nice of you to help.Makes life easier when you know something.
The card in it now is 32m SDC..15 photos and I have to erase them. I agree 2-4 gb is best ..........Must hunt one this week.. So far it is awesome......THe zoom is unbelievable......
Actually they arent my ducks .......They just live on our pond each year. We didnt know what they were....I assume wild ones?
We also have some tall bird with long legs that comes in the summer.. Grey colored.........I forgot the name.
Those are WILD Mallards but they will probably eat from your hand, Your tall grey bird is a Great Blue Heron. They are quite COMMON around water. When I go to the lake 10 minutes from my house, I often see five or six of them. They are AMAZING fishers and SUPERB flyers. They are also relatively tame. You can often get within 50 feet of them.

100% correct on that one also ..Heron. It is huge when it flys away. We cant even open the door and it flys .. We have noisy doors......So the Heron arrives at the same spot as I show the ducks. 300 feet below my front porch........ I am on a slope like , mountain type.
I took these pictures at the lake 10 minutes from my house, next to my youngest grandson's school. Right about now, the Commom Loons and Ring-Billed Gulls will be arriving. They make for some GREAT photographs.

No, I'm actually in a suburb of Nashville in the outlying community of Hermitage, TN. I am one mile southeast of the home and grave of President Andrew Jackson, The Hermitage, which our town is named after. My house is part of the original plantation grounds. The red star in the picture is my house, the red arrow points to the ACTUAL mansion and grave of Andrew Jackson.
