*this has nothing to do with the forum  *

I'll put my question as simply as i can: All my image types are .JPEG, and i have to switch the file type to anything else, like a .jpg, .bmp, .gif, or any of those other file types. How can i change them?

Right click on the picture and go to 'save as'. Underneath the line where you can name your file there should be another line that says 'save as file type'. Click the arrow at the right of that line and you will see a drop down box of options of file types. There you should be able to choose the type of format you would like to save it as. Hope that works for you.

Thanks rachel kissie

I tried that, saw the other file types, saved it as another [.bmp] but when it's in my pic folder it's back as a JPEG! boohoo why

Try giving it a different name. You may want to copy it and do the 'save as' with the copy.
