Have y'all heard of the Tide Loads of Hope campaign to help victims of Southern California's wildfires and the people of New Orleans?

They bring in and set up banks of washers/dryers and provide Tide products and the people can do laundry for free.

After our apartment fire when Maxi was a baby, the Red Cross gave me packets of a laundry additive to deal with the soot so that our clothes weren't ruined and didn't stink. We would have been lost without that stuff... soot ruins clothes and the smell of fire can linger forever.

I think it is a neat campaign and if I wore T-shirts, I'd buy one of the vintage shirts they are selling to raise money for it.

We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart?
The other heart was given to another for us to find.

I've heard of it.....I saw it on a commercial the other day. I was thinking of getting one of those vintage t-shirts for my brother-in-law...he wears stuff like that. I think it is great that they bring in the washer and dryers so people can do their laundry for free after a disaster. I'm sure there is nothing that feels as good as a pair of clean underwear after a fire, ya know??

Certainly a great idea.

The fire department gave us some of that additive also Merme....mind you there was nothing left after the fire to wash but I heard it works wonders.
