Are they fungus gnats? If they are, they ar attracted to moisture, so try spreading a layer of vermiculite over the sufrace of the pots, it looks decorative (a bit shimmery) and it works. Or try hanging yellow cards covered in vasaline to catch the insects

Helping the world one seed at a time

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. Mary Ann LaPensee

I HATE fungus gnats, I had them bad this fall when I brought my plants inside....they finally disappeared when it got cold but until then I have something I do to get rid of a lot of them.

I take a plastic cup and fill it up with water and dish soap so it's bubbly and put it next to the plants...for some reason they fly into the bubbles then they die.....it's not a huge fix, but it makes me feel better to know that I'm getting rid of some of them.....

Also, for the next 3 or 4 waterings, let them dry out as much as possible without causing harm to the plants. That should help get rid of them.
