I've grown it once from old seeds at the dollar store...they do need light, and they took forever to sprout for me. Try covering the pot with clear plastic to raise humidity and the temp. a bit. I think you can buy transplants of them but I;ve never seen them before at the nurseries. Good luck, keep us updated!
Helping the world one seed at a time When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. Mary Ann LaPensee

The other day I planted some more strawflower seeds since my others never came up but this time I took 2 pieces of paper towl and cut it in a circle to fit a flower pot i put the seeds inside the papertowl and watered it and placed on top of the dirt, I figure my other seeds never got enough light so this way they will get tons more light, and they are held in place so that when i water them they wont float around and keep moving... I hope it works! I heard about it from my great grandma. Ill lets you know if they sprout!

How do you plan to keep the towel wet? I place seeds in paper wet towels, and then into plastic bags.......Keeps them moist for sure. barb
