Hello I wanna grow some of these this year I like the idea of being able to take big bites without spitting seeds out, but I looked and no place around me sells them I only found them online.
I read they need a pollinator does that just mean I have to grow 1 plant of a normal variety?I have Wisconsin clay soil will that be a problem ,what type of fertilizer does it need?

I have red clay as well, and I buy the Sugar Baby's, it's comes seedless too and they are sweet and juicy and yummy!! I just till in alittle top soil and some manure to where I plan on plant them and put about 5 seeds in a big hill about 2 feet wide and a foot high. it did really well last year and I got 2 watermelons the size of basketballs. (Thats big for them)
This year I did the same and am hoping for the best. Last year was my first year growning anything but weeds in the yard, and I did pretty well. Clay can be a bother but with the right compost and alittle effort, the clay isn't so bad. It gives off good ph balance too.

I can find sugar baby's all over the place just no seedless ones. Not at steins, big stores like walmart etc., or nurseries I've been to.
