I have been fooling around with my camera and now i have a hand on the LCD screen and a little square, to center stuff, right in the middle. I don't know what the hand means and I can't get the square off.

oh mine, a hand appears if you are shaking the camera (unsteady while taking a pic). i don't know about the square.

My little hand is there all the time now, even when I sit it down - if it's still on. The square is to center something, like a face, but it hasn't always been there and I can't figure out how to get rid of it.

I'm hoping Dodge or Haeda will show up sooner or later. They have the same camera and got me started changing my settings. I should have known I don't know enough to mess with this thing.

Found a way how you can reset the settings..

Turn on the camera and then press the menu button, press the right button then press up. Press set then press right and then finally press set...

Your camera's settings should be reset

I have more questions. Glad I found this post dodge and Hadeda.

When I use the zoom lens at the fullest I get a red flashing light in the right corner of the LCD screen. At first I thought it was the battery light but it only happens when I extend it as far as it will go.

by the way, you both will be glad to know that I found my Basic Book. I'm too stupid to understand the Advanced book. I need to take a class for sure.
