My husband gave me two boxes of daffodil bulbs for my birthday back in August. I had intended to put them in, but lack of confidence and inexperience and procrastination took over. A while ago, he saw the boxes and saw that some of the bulbs were starting to sprout or rot. He was disappointed and may feel that I did not appreciate his gift (which I really did!) because I didn't plant them in time for the winter. My question is: Could I salvage the bulbs by planting them in pots indoors or some other method? I don't know my green thumb from my left toe, but I am willing to learn.

Yes, you can. They will need a lot of light. But you can crowd them into pots and they should bloom for you. You could probably even put the pots outdoors after you've planted them to wait out the winter and bloom in their natural time.

wavyHi Beth![Linked Image]

I agree I'd put them in a large container pot with good potting soil and set in a full direct sun window or in front of a glass sliding door if possible,, But don't over water !! boohoo
