I had one of my yearly seedling accidents, my Roma and Super Sweet 100 seedlings got knocked off the light shelf and some of them were uprooted. They ALL survived the fall (wow!) clap but I think some got mixed up.

This isnt that big a deal, but I was wondering, do you guys think it will become obvious which are which? Ive promised some sweet 100 plants to several people, and Id feel pretty dumb giving them romas instead! egad

They have their first sets of leaves. It seems like the cotlydons (sorry if spelled wrong!!) on the Romas are much bigger than the 100's.

Thoughts? flwr

For me, and I am not an expert, someone may
come thru and tell you another way...
but the only way I know is when they send
out their first set of flowers..
and how many is on the flower thing...
The Sweet 100's have at least 8~10 to a side..
*18~20 on a cluster.*
A regular tomato will only have about 2 or 3..
*4 or 6 to a cluster.*

Sweet 100s are indeterminate right? I often grow paste tomatoes and regular tomatoes and I have been able to see a definite difference in them as seedlings. The romas will be short and stocky. I think you will be able to tell. Maybe post pictures later if you can't tell.

I definitely had knock overs and just plain not taking time to mark stuff. I know how frustrating it can be. I always need more little markers!

Thanks you guys! Since I posted this, they have really grown alot and I can tell them apart....I think! The Romas actually have a lighter green hue to them overall. Since only some of them were uprooted, I definitely have Romas and 100s where they should bem and amazingly, it seems the ones that were repotted ended up where they should have been! I'll try geting a pic. flwr
